The red sword of war is Vermillion. It probably was meant to be a comma back in Creation. As in "Vermillion, The Red Sword of War". Since Vermillion is just another shade of red, and the sword is wielded by War.
I agree with the rest though.

Magneto will probably get the SWORD orbital station back online in time for the series. Maybe he not being one of the swordbearers may be a good thing as he could have been one of the characters chosen to die until Ewing said he wanted to use him for his series, before that Magneto didn´t really had a title so he was just doing cameos. I would have liked to see more of him on this crossover but being part of the cast for S.W.O.R.D is better.

Someone called the sword Twilight Sword, they later realized that it could create unnecessary confusion with Surtur and decided to change the name, it doesn't seem like a big deal.

That’s something they should have done maybe before halfway through the event. Or better yet when they first brought up the sword in HOX I assumed surtur was the one that destroyed Okkara, now I’m just depressed because I was right they DID just skim the marvel hand book till they found something with the word twilight in it’s name ugh

Is Saturnyne supposed to be an Emma? Because it feels like she's an alternate-dimension Emma.

I'm enjoying the line blurring as I think it makes the story more unpredictable. I'm now very intrigued with Redroot after just one scene.

I am extremely disappointed with this story and can't wait for it to end. All this Excalibur otherworld nonsense wears my patience thin. They chose the worst of the x-books to build an event around.

    Yupp.
Which it did among us readers so...it was changed.
This is similar to switching out certain characters who appeared earlier due to writer's revision.

They took so long to change it. Like, they were still calling it the Twilight Sword when the event started. They’ve been uncharacteristically uncoordinated about that bit.

Meanwhile, Hickman has literally already created a Midnight Blade back in FF.

I enjoyed this issue, but I can't help but think that, originally, this story wasn't imagined as an event.

Regardless, the Swordbearers of Arakko are pretty interesting. Pogg Ur-Pogg is really fun; Redroot appears destined for romance with Doug; and I can't shake this feeling that Storm is going to become Annihilation.

Really intrigued by the Mercator tease.

It's gotta be Mr. X, right? Absalom Mercator?

    I sure hope so.

You were Spider-Man then. You and Peter had agreed on it. But he came back right when you started feeling comfortable.

I don't remember the Fuy looking like it does in the card so is it the Fury or someone else?

I thought he was called Mr. M and it would strike me as odd that there is some connection to him.

Also this issue clearly shows Sinister and the Hellions failed.

Ah yes! Thanks for the reminder.

The only reason -- beyond the use of his name -- that I think it might be Mr. M is because Hickman namedropped him during House of X.

    Obscure.

-Pav, who wonders if Mr. M created his own reality...
