I don't really see MCU Carol on the team unless they pull an [BI]Endgame[/I] and she pops up at the end for a big action sequence because she would've ended the threat way earlier if she'd been there.

There are rumors she is getting powered down in CM2 but repowered by the end. Maybe the whammy is a Kree/Skrull weapon that will come back in A-Force per part of the villain(s) plans and that is why she's there? Lots of ways they can go actually to use her.

I mean, I was kind of expecting they'd scale her back one way or another, but I feel like fans wouldn't really be happy with her getting de-powered again.
