Default Alfred Pennyworth city of birth

Most Dc characters have a clear established city where they were born or where they grew up but often when it comes to characters who came for overseas not much detail is provided on their geographical background. If the character is from France or from England we often never know what city they came form. I was wondering if throughout the many years Alfred has been written if there was ever a canonical reference to the city where he was born/raised.

In the Adam West series, there's a reference to Liverpool IIRC.

I don't think OP thinks Alfred is French - rather that non-American characters are often only described by just country of origin rather than us being given much detail on where in that country they are from, in contrast to American characters.

In the old comics he was usually from London.

AFAIK it is first said in Detective Comics #110 and also mentioned in Batman #110.

He talks like Maurice Micklewhite, who was born within the sound of Bow Bells.

He worked in London, as part of... SAS or whatever else military and butler thing he did for The British Crown in his increasingly long resume... and part of a theater troupe with his former love interest, so he has a home there in his adult life, but can still be from Liverpool.
