Ah, the fun XoS book returns!
    Nanny is a cracked egg!
    Havok... is a cyclops!

Nanny also seems to develop a voice of reason mentality, which should be a worrying sign for everyone involved.

Maybe the main Summers brothers could trade codenames for a while if Havok makes it back in one piece.

Just want to say I appreciate the time skip with a little spoken recap.

Good news, they aren't in Otherworld anymore. Free trips back to Krakoa for everyone.

Despite how fun the book is, I have to wonder how relevant this issue will be and how much they can do. They're on Arakko, which means Amenth, where none of the major Arakkii players are. So are they just going to be killed? What could they do, when they've already failed and the reps have already left?

Maybe if Betsy/Gorgon (or if Gorgon was a Hellion) wasn't a sword bearer, and someone on this team was, this book could actually tell a story that more directly affects what's actually happening.

    Maybe.

There are enough heavies in Otherworld that there could be a curveball coming as that page wraps up.

They have already left Otherworld, if they die in Arakko/Amenth they should be rezzable. Problem is, they can't be confirmed dead.

Yeah, I remember some head-scratching about whether Arakko and Amenth were part of Otherworld or not--this seems to confirm they indeed just have a gate to Dryador like Krakoa has a gate to Avalon.

And yes, the Hellions are now free to be slaughtered! Boy oh boy.

Assuming anyone finds out they died.

The question is what is Sinister's goal. What does he even know about Arakko to be snooping around, never mind sabotaging. Is it to get something like new DNA? A sample of Arakko? Then he needs someone to physically return. Was this a suicide mission or just highly dangerous? Did he sneak in a way back like a portal flower? Already this is more intriguing than X of Swords!

The scenery of Arrako in the first page reminds me a bit to how The Hill was presented in the Storm mini series in the 90's, which the X-plain the X-men podcast covered this week. It's only missing an Iguana in the backround.

Imagine it turns that Mikhail has actualy transported the Morlocks (or at least a large chunk of them) to a part of Arrako long ago and cut it off from the locals to have his little playground. Which would also mean Storm would be the first X-men to have actualy visit Arrako retroactively.

Obviously not a reveal down the line.

It'll only be interesting if Sinister becomes a part of the hinted Summoner plot.....something not relevant to this event.

In other words, this issue may be another issue used to push a future story, when we were sold that is was a chapter to this story.

Only if you ignored a lot of what was happening.

Sinister was press ganged into actually going on the mission.

The idea that he just plays a plain old "Chapter X..." role under those circumstances?

    It's kinda unlikely.
