Age: 31
Date of Birth: June 18, 2012
Gender: Male
Race/Ethnicity: Italian
Place of Birth: Venice, Italy
Weight/Height: 6'4", 215 lbs
Personality: Greedy, intelligent, charming when he wants to be, and possessing great empathy for those suffering from sickness--especially chronic ones. However, when push comes to shove, he'll try to do the right thing... as he sees it.
Likes: Money, mom, mom's spaghetti.
Dislikes: People looking down on him, good people getting a raw deal, dying alone.
Background: Born to a woman named Chiara Zeppeli, Guiseppe's early life was... tough. While his mother, bless her heart, did her best, Guiseppe was a sickly boy with a weak immune system, and often confined to his bed with some sickness or another.
One day, the boy fell deathly ill, and no matter what the doctors did, his condition only seemed to worsen. Then, as he was on the cusp of death, a mysterious man appeared. This man claimed that, using an ancient martial art called '
The Purr', he could save Guiseppe's life. Desperate, his mother agreed to allow this man, Master Miao, work on her son.
After a brief examination, Master Miao poked Guiseppe in various places of his body, sending warm, calming vibrations into him. For the first few hours, nothing seemed to happened, but then... a bizarre miracle! While he didn't regain consciousness quite yet, his temperature dropped, and his heart rate and breathing stabilized. His condition improved and, within a few days, he was almost good as new and awoke to his joyful mother.
His mother asked Master Miao how she could repay him, and he asked for only one thing.
"Allow me to teach the boy how to purr... he will need it in the future, one way or another."
His mother was... confused, but given that Master Miao had just saved Guiseppe's life, she agree and, once her son was recovered enough, he left his life in Venice behind, beginning his journey with his new master, who would, over time, become the closest thing to a father that the boy had ever had.
Master Miao was tough, but fair, and the training equally so. 'The Purr' was an ancient martial art that branched off from something called 'The Ripple' or 'Hamon', which used light rays to empower the user, while 'the Purr' used sound and vibrations to grant the user a number of amazing and bizarre abilities. However, while the Ripple had been used to fight... vampires, apparently, the Purr was meant to heal and encourage health in both oneself and others. It
could be used to hurt and even kill, but that was certainly not its intended usage.
After all, a cat striking out in anger certainly would not purr while doing so.
Eventually, Guiseppe had learned all he could, and all that was left was to refine his Purr to the utmost. Without the guidance of his master, who had... other matters to attend to. Bidding each other farewell, Guiseppe began wandering the world, getting himself into
and out of plenty of trouble... financing his travels by using
The Purr to heal the sick. For a... modest fee, of course. A fee that was, of course, scaled to their ability to pay.
Eventually, he found himself in Italy and decided to visit his beloved mother, whom he hadn't seen for over a decade. They'd exchanged letters when possible, but given his nomadic lifestyle, that wasn't a very reliable way to communicate. His last letter had apparently gotten lost in the mail, even!
When he got to his house, what awaited him was not his mother's warm embrace, but... silence. The silence of the grave. You see, his last letter had not gotten lost in the mail--oh no, it had gotten to his mother... as she was on her deathbed. She had fallen ill some years ago and, not wanting to distract him from his training,
despite knowing the healing abilities of the Purr, had hidden that fact from him. And then, shortly after his final letter, she'd died... alone.
That hurt. It hurt more than he could possibly imagine. He raged, he screamed, he gnashed his teeth, cried... but he eventually accepted that she was gone. Even the Purr, potent as it was, couldn't bring the dead back to life. She wouldn't want him to dwell on it, in any case--nope, she'd want him to continue living his life as best as he could.
While sorting through her belongings, a letter arrived, addressed to both her... and him. Apparently, his father, Johannes Joestar, had passed away, and he had been summoned to attend a reading of his will.
His mother had only mentioned his birth father a few times. Always in terms that, in retrospect, made him think of a lovestruck teenager. Yeah, he sounded like he'd been a pretty awesome, interesting guy, but why in the hell hadn't he'd stayed!? If he had, his mother wouldn't have had to have died alone...
Yeah, he was a bit angry... but not enough to just blow off the invitation. Once his mother's final affairs had been settled, he set off once again, heading to his 'father's' estate...

Ultrasound - Basically what he uses to "diagnose" people. At 3 PER & MA, it allows for short-range echolocation, improving to medium-range at 4/4, and long-range at 5/5
Sonic Healing - Not instant, just promotes faster, more effective healing & health. Guiseppe is almost always using it on himself, to boost/take the pressure off of his weak immune system.
Counter Vibration - A more... offensive variation, though typically still used for healing. By figuring out the 'vibration' of a particular object or thing (or collection of things), the user can tune their Purr to affect only it, and to a greater effect. For example, fine-tuning it for a particular contagion (virus, bacteria, fungus, poison), material, individual.
Sound Cancellation (Self) - More or less directly the result of Counter Vibrating the sounds he makes by moving. At his current level of mastery, he needs to focus (almost) exclusively on this to achieve silent movement, but a true master of the Purr can do this as a matter of course.
Voice Control - More of a side-effect of his training than anything intentional. Simply the ability to adjust his voice to whatever he wants.
