The art looks great, even if I'm disappointed they gave Warpath a generic costume like the rest. They could've recolored the one from Brubaker's UXM if everyone had to be wearing yellow here.

They didn't let Brisson finish his story arc(really look unfinished, like hastily chopped off the ends). I don't consider him a good writer but Vita Ayala showed her skills at Marauders and it was awful

I don't think Vita's one issue in the middle of a crossover compares to the numerous chances that Brisson had to make his New Mutants run even slightly memorable.

This looks amazing!! Great mix of different generations of students... Rain Boy, Petra, Sprite, Fauna, Icarus?? Random but I love it.

This is exactly what a New Mutants book should be in this era. And I'm here for it. XoS who?

Vita had done a pretty good job with Prisoner X

Personally, I try to keep hope. I think one of the most disturbing issues with Marauders #13 was that Vita didn't really understand that Ororo is now responsible for Krakoa's politics, either within the nation itself or across the global scale, making her actions very stupid and dangerous

I actually enjoyed Brissons New Mutants so I'm a tad sad and I also hate unfinished plots what the French Twins did to Beak was lowkey fucked up and very messy to leave it that way. That being said Vita at the least should be given a chance X of Swords at the moment is a flop anyway can't really hold that against her.
