Default Holy Trinity of Spider-Man Comics

What are the top 3 stories for any Spider-Man fan? The must reads that have shaped Spidey?
Let’s debate and discuss, and see if we can reach an agreement.

    So.....

    One More Day
    Sins Past
    The Other

    Just kidding.

    Kravens Last Hunt
    Master Planner Saga

    Torn on the third.

You mean “the three most overrated comic books in Spider-Man history”?

All you need is “A Talk with Jonah” and your list is complete.

    Master Planner is almost certain.

    For a classic run, I'd go with;
    The Master Planner Trilogy
    Spider-man No More
    The Night Gwen Stacy Died

Those 3 fit a thematic narrative for me, although it's kind of backwards in that theme. They are the ones that show Spider-man facing true strength at the face of danger and overcoming odds (even if he kind of loses in Night Gwen Stacy Died).

    For a modern era, it'll have to be;
    Kraven's Last Hunt
    Superior
And I can't think of a third. Maybe the current Last Remains, but I feel that is too soon to tell and hasn't finished yet.

In 616 overall, it's have to be The Master-Planner Saga -- The Night Gwen Stacy Died -- Kraven's Last Hunt.

By general consent, the three most respect/famous/beloved/influential stories.

KLH was painfully boring, and while Master Planner Saga is ok, it doesn’t feel like more than a MOTW for Peter by that point.

Most of the dialogue for “A Talk with Jonah” felt like meandering which might’ve been point, but I didn’t like that most of the issue felt like filler.

Pretty much, they are the most well regarded by the fans as far as i seen.

I certainly agree with your classic selections ( although I do include ASM 122 ( Death of the Green Goblin) with that comic), and Kravens Last Hunt. But What about The Death of Jean DeWolffe and Owl Octopus War for modern comics?

Why does there always have to be some guy coming in and starting some stuff? Seriously???
This is a positive thread and you bringing that crap in here isn't helping.

I don't have a top three. I've got a top five: Amazing Fantasy #15, the Master Planner Saga, The Night Gwen Stacy Died, Nothing Can Stop the Juggernaut, The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man.

At the moment, if I had to pick three, it would be the Master Planner Saga, Night Gwen Stacy Died and Kid Who Collects Spider-Man. Ask me again tomorrow, it could be a different top three.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets

If I were to pick a Holy Trinity, it would be:
    - The Master Planner Saga
    - Spider-Man No More
    - The Night Gwen Stacy Died

There are people who want to be contrary to everyone else. Why I do not know. But saying the Master Planner Saga is okay instead of a classic ( I admit ASM 33 is my personal favorite comic) and Kraven’s Last Hunt is boring certainly qualifies as being contrary.

Being contrary implies that I hate it because other people like it which is false.
