If the material of the cowl is stiff enough (even for just that piece), it can slip under the chin without having an anchor on the chin itself.

It seems to me that it would ride back, if you're constantly moving your head. But I'm fine with artistic license, because it looks cool.

Makes it look like he's trying too hard, IMO.

Wally "could" make it work (but wouldn't try). Bart for sure could. Barry, IDK, seems off.
ConnEr Kent flies. ConnOr Hawke has a bow. Batman's kid is named DamiAn.

Barry I can see it with just because it feels like something someone dorky might come up with.

Maybe I'm too old, but I don't see Barry as that dorky. He's just nice, IMHO, and more cerebral than the average silver ager.

Holy crap, I'm actually in the majority (as of now, "Keep it")? That never happens here!
I mean, it isn't a huge lead, but still being in better than half is good for me.

I like it, seems sensible, plus it puts me in mind of bicycle helmets which helps it scream "fast" to me personally.

I dunno, he's always come off kind of dorky to me but I guess it depends how you look at it .

I think Barry and Iris were supposed to be cool when they were first introduced. Barry had a crew cut which was the "in" style for teens at the time--so by giving him that cut, they were saying he was on trend. Iris always wore the latest fashions--wore gloves when they were in style for women. The two of them were ahead of the curve. It's only when Barry stuck with his short haircut well after it had become out of fashion that he began to seem like a square. He did get with the times in the 1970s, having a coiffure that James Franciscus would admire.

You're right. That IS early 1970s Barry Allen.

    Oh he's hot

    Whos he

Definitely not gonna stalk somebody's grandpa

By the way no chin strap. I think it's necessary for a Mercury helmet but his cowl already skin tight

When I was a kid back in the Seventies, it took me a quite a while not to mix up James Franciscus with James Farentino, Tony Franciosa, Tony Lo Bianco, etc. Not that they looked alike, but the names all sounded similar to my young ears.
