    There was a pair of Elseworlds mini-series called JLA: The Nail and JLA: Another Nail both written and penciled by Alan Davies that had Superman raised by an Amish couple because the Kents got a nail in the tire of their truck when they were supposed to find him as a baby and how the DCU gets really screwed up, (especially the JLA) without Superman. The villain in the first one was a real shock when I first read it.

    No he isn't. Ennis likes Superman. Homelander is what Ennis thinks a corrupted Superman would be. That's it.

    Or he likes superman.But still, has issues with how the character is made out to be.

    Just bumping this to say that even a Dark Multiverse Flashpoint version of Superman raised in a prison by the military still possesses enough empathy to want to help others. So there’s some differences between the two that are hardwired as a part of who Clark is.
