Marston. No one ever managed to bring out all of the potential he and his collaborators put into the character

Quite true, I'd rank him number two behind Rucka but that's just me.

No one else has written as many great issues or revamped as many villains and concepts for the modern age, all while integrating and respecting other WW writers, the answer is Greg Rucka.

Yeah, Rucka’s use of her major villains between his two runs was a big point in his favor for me.

It's between Marston, Perez, Rucka for me. But if had to choose I'd go with Perez, mostly because his run was one of the first I read.

I have to say though, I think the Bronze Age writers don't get enough love. That era had some good stories and greatly influenced what came after post-COIE.

Conway and Thomas’s runs are such overlooked gems. They gave us Orana, Debbie Domaine, and Silver Swan.

The Bronze Age definitely had some influence on the Perez run. We got a lost tribe of other Amazons, Etta working with Steve (wished this one didn't carry over), and I think the villains around that time being Cheetah, Dr. Psycho, Circe and Silver Swan had a hand in them being the villains Perez revamped.

This was tough for me, as George Perez, Greg Rucka, Gail Simone, and Phil Jimenez are my favorite Wonder Woman writers.... I gave the edge to Greg, cause he FINALLY took Diana out of the Warrior Nun faze and gave her a sex life. Lol!

Because it was a good idea (and still is!), but i have a dodgy memory due to TBI, so names often escape me.

    Probably did.

Think they'd make decent ones if either were offered it or if they were interested in it//offered.

George Perez. IMHO, by pairing Steve Trevor with Etta Candy, he got the title out of a four-decade rut. And he introduced Julia and Vanessa Kapatelis

Perez! I don’t care if anyone on here disagrees, because George really got Diana and her world down correctly. The art the stories were just amazing. It’s a shame that DC didn’t care what he did with WW, because it’s clear they had no interest in making her popular like the other characters!

I voted for Rucka based on his second run. I suspect if I had read Perez’s entire run he might edge out Rucka, but as it stands I’ve only read the first year and a half—approximately— of Perez.

(Marston must always get a separate and special acknowledgment for creating Wonder Woman.)
