Also I don't like the CW superhero shows in general, so I'm don't have high hope's for it.

I think it's crazy that Yara is getting a series before Diana herself though. Yeah, there was that Lynda Carter show but that was decades ago. Geez, at least give her an animated series or something. There's really no excuse not to if they're willing to do it for a brand new character.

As for Donna and Cassie...Sigh, I guess the Wonder Girl mantle is about to become the next Robin. Cassie definitely should get a new name then. Is Olympia taken?
I mean the last live action Batman show was in 1966 and he's their sacred cow, so it's not that crazy to consider. That Superman is getting one probably says they think he's less valuable than before since typically they like to reserve their biggest IP for film. I know they claim they're going to loosen up with that, but Bruce and Diana are still film only so all things considered it may indicate they have higher hopes for her.

Wonder Woman rescues a child, orphaned in a fire, in the Amazon Rain Forest, in Latin America! The Amazon sisters of Paradise use the Purple Ray to give her powers, similar to their own ..and train her to use them in Man's World, as WONDER GIRL!
COMBINING THE BIGBADITUDE OF THANOS WITH CHEETAH'S FEROCITY, IS JANUS WONDER WOMAN'S GREATEST SUPERVILLAIN?...on WONDABUNGA!!! Look alive, Kangaliers!

Batman had movies, animated shows and video games to make up for that and he still had plenty of TV appearances between Gotham, Titans and the recent CW crossover. Diana literally had nothing besides the Lynda Carter show and some ensemble cartoons/video games.

Not for lack of trying. They did pilot a show starring Adrianne Palicki, but it wasn't picked up and she ended up playing Mockingbird on Agents of SHIELD.

In the comics she will be, but I can see them going a bit older for the show, as Supergirl did.

Wonder Woman CAN'T be benched. They'll lose the rights to her if they don't publish her for too long. That's why Wonder Woman has never been cancelled.

Cassie is originally a WW character, but Donna was accidentally created when Teen Titans started, as the writer didn't realise Wonder Girl was a younger version of an adult hero like Superboy and not a sidekick like Robin (had they realised, they would've probably used Supergirl instead, as she was the only other female teen hero at DC at the time outside of the Legion of Super-Heroes).

I have mixed feelings about this. I really like what I'm seeing so far about Yara but at the same time, I have to wonder why Diana or Donna didn't get a modern day show first? Hopefully both of them will have major roles in the show.

I really don't like the CW, but I'll give this a shot in hopes it's closer to Black Lightning than Arrow in terms of appealing to me.
I don't think it's fast at all. Rather, I believe this is how it will be, from this time on: a character is developed deep within the bowels of DC/WB/CW, and then you get more or less simultaneous appearances in comics and other media. Which appears first comes down to chance.

Oh boy... When I saw Future State, the first character that truly stood out to me was Yara. I like her character as much as anyone can like a character they have never read about. I will watch it whenever it'll be out but that doesn't mean it sits entirely right with me. It is rushed. Yara has had no built-up at all. Knowing she is from a brazilian-amazon tribe that got espablished only last year isn't enough for me. I still hope the CW makes a good show out of the premise and can bring Yara and the Wonder Woman mythos to life. Respectfully.

Also, didn't DC or WB ask Gal Gadot to pariticpate in a New Wonder Girl TV Show recently? Which could mean Yara and Diana get a proper connection.

They tried various times to make a Diana show but none of them worked out for various reasons, and now that Diana is well established on the film side they probably view a TV show as a downgrade for her. I’ll be honest: I doubt your average film executive would understand Donna’s appeal at all. Especially since she’s more known for being a Titan, and is already part of a Titans show, then she is as a solo character.

I'm curious what such an executive would see in Yara then.

Your average film executive doesn't read comics, so a blank slate character would definitely be much more appealing than someone with decades of convoluted history. Plus diversity.

I haven't seen a comic book show with OG characters and story since Mutant X (The Gifted wasn't released where I am) but I'm wary since it's CW.

This same article says the editor in question wasn't even in the one who was on the book when the Kanigher cross-dressing criminal issue came out.

And says that Dorothy Woolfolk, the editor he killed in the comic, wasn't even the editor of the book when Kanigher took it over again.
