Sophia still in seg?
Thats why the finale was pretty dumb they didnt wrap up anything, we dont know whats up with Sophia and Nicky still
Had no idea Bennet left for a show. Thought they just didn't wrap that particular point.
I'm not sure how I feel about the whole series. It felt like a lot of things were stretched out to the end and either were either not touched or were just teased. And this was probably the first time I was irritated instead of enthusiastic about the flashbacks because this time around I got the feeling that the flashbacks were just there to justify whatever a particular did/was going to do instead of just peeling back the curtain into the minds of the characters. I mean thats always been the point of them, but in this particular instance it was so overt.
Just finished watching the last 2 episodes of Orange Is and my heart is aching. May my favorite girl R.I.P. and hopefully we'll see the actress pop up somewhere else. This season was kind of all over the place but it had some strong emotional character driven moments. Just wow. I'm upset that I have to wait another year for this show to come back. I'm glad I didn't binge it in one weekend but I still ate it up pretty quickly, too quickly. 13 episodes are not enough, just saying.
Speaking as a queer man of color, one of the most realistic things this season has done is show that another queer man can, indeed, be a rage-filled racist.
This season was 10x better than the last. But yeah sucks that happened to Poussey. Even though those guards were pieces of Sh--, they are what made the season if you ask me.
Just finished watching S4 of OITNB....WOW - truly amazing. Definitely the best season of the show so far, and also one of the best seasons of any TV series I've ever seen.
Here's my review of the entire season - please note there are SPOILERS below to those who haven't finished this yet; I don't know how to include spoiler tags on this site; it's not obvious from the choices above (even when I "Go Advanced"):
Despite the show's title, it's interesting that most of the inmates wear tan - instead of orange.
The death of Poussey was one of the most shocking deaths I've ever seen on TV - extremely unexpected; I actually though Suzanne (Crazy-eyes) was the one that was going to be taken out in that scene. It was especially ironic that the guard that accidentally killed Poussey (Bayley) was actually a nice guy - instead of a sadistic jerk, like most of the others. Extremely good writing here.
Very sad to see the back-stories of Crazy Eyes, Lolly, and Healy. Crazy Eyes' back-story was especially depressing, since she accidentally caused the death of that kid - which is obviously why she's in prison.
Piscatella is a P.O.S., as are most of the other new guards. Obviously, these guys are much worse than the ones who walked off during the last season.
Caputo is a typical manager. He doesn't know sh$# about what's going on in the facility he leads, and lets others that work under him do the dirty work & day to day work of managing the facility, while he's off screwing around. What a useless waste of space.
That being said, I can see the difficult position he was put in at the end of the season - either throw Bayley under the bus (which he was instructed to do), or defend him (which is what he did). Obviously, defending Bayley caused the inmates to riot at the very end...
I was pleased to see that Judy King was blocked from leaving the facility due to the rioting of the inmates. She's such an entitled jerk - it serves her right.
So, I guess we'll have to wait for S5 to see whether Dya puts down that scum-bag guard.....
Here's an interesting article - again, note there are SPOILERS to those who haven't seen the entire season yet:

The end was a complete gut punch. I love crazy eyes, but poussey was such an innocent person who was always fun to watch. She was like the conscience of the series. When she died, it made me hurt. Only a few character deaths have hit me like that.
Yeah, that was a really strong finish to a crazy season. Definitely will start the next season off with an intense scene, I'm sure
Original join date: sometime in 2002
For me, his choice to defend Bailey without even saying Poussey's name was one of the most painful things in the season, as he was the only real advocate for the inmates once most of the old guard left. Throughout the season, we saw Caputo stand up for them to corporate, defend them from the guards, and being reasonable in his approach to their requests (to the point where the inmates outright cheered for him -- they clearly respected him even though he compromised). At that point in the press conference, I'm sure most viewers were expecting him to stand up to MCC once and for all, but he zigged when we thought he would zag, which makes for extremely ripe betrayal.
Which, by the way, means that this was some *excellent* work by Nick Sandow this season.
Skipped most of Season 3 (very dull), but LOVING season 4. Oh my goodness, just finished the nazi tattoo moment (you know the one I mean), MY GOD!!! MY GOD! I was on the edge of my seat. Ohhhhh, some payback is coming her way. Loving Red again, and no, I've still not forgiven Crazy Eyes. GOD, so glad its back on form after Season 3.
