I doubt the canonicity of Wanda's prank emails.
No the truth of this is that Dan Slott doesn't want anyone else to play with his toys! Did anyone notice that he didn't write the crossover, there is a reason for that, Slott didn't want to play with the X-Books, and this little Franklin retcon is to prevent the X-line from putting Franklin on a mutant team for another crossover! There was a very good chance that if things stayed as they were, Franklin could have ended up going on missions with some of the mutant teams at some point! Now Slott has made 100% sure that no one gets to use Franklin except him!
Slott wrote Xavier this way because he wanted to close the door to the X-writers! He threw a fit about "his characters" and the Marvel editors backed him up because he's one of the "good old boys" at Marvel!
This whole thing was Slott throwing a little hissy fit that other people got to write stories about Franklin!
We are MUTANT..Krakoa, FOREVER!!! “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité”
I really doubt anyone is fighting for Franky boy that bad he's the type of character that restricts any story you're trying to tell, just to use the character and having a reason why his op cosmic powers can't fix it all is a hassle they always have to underpowered him one way or another. Franklin is more trouble than he's worth honestly.
If Slott didn't want to deal with Krakoa...he could have done it without this retcon. Just give Franklin a philosophical reason for not wanting to be allied with them. I have said since this Krakoa nonsense started that there needed to be mutants who want nothing to do with the mutant island nation.
I have always felt they should have had his power on s sliding scale...energy manipulation on a base level that means he cannot alter reality on a massive scale...basically his default would be on a level of someone like Firestar....but if he gets pumped full of energy then he can do it when the story calls for it.

This week. Hopefully that all gets changed back in the near future. I wish they’d stop messing with things established for 40-50 years. (Franklin, Wanda, Pietro). I understand the need to shake things up now and then, but if you don’t get a good story out of it, then it’s pointless.
This.
Slott didn't wrote a mini because he is slow, he often write at maximum 2 books at same time and many times with help of another writer. He ws also doing Iron man in addition to FF. And also planning on Empyre crossover with Avengers.
On this same logic Hickman didn't wnted Franklin since he didn't wrote the crossover;.
Better Wanda not even come close to these portals

Not true? Whitley went on after Future Foundation was canceled and how he wanted to use Franklin and Valeria, even getting as far as the first outline, before that needed to be scrapped after the very first arc of the main book. Slott vetoed it because he sucks at communicating long term plans or an email got lost or something.
Well this now explains why Rachel and Franklin were a couple in 811: they both can change their DNA on a whim/unconsciously. Franklin can turn himself into a mutant and Rachel can turn herself into a dinosaur.
That naïveté, black hair, and ultimate cosmic potential is no longer mutant.
How long til we learn Franklin is really the Beyonder who, curious about the human experience, caused himself to be born through Reed and Sue?
Stan Lee intended first of all for Marvel comics to sell and be successful. Anything else he intended for the X-Men is secondary to that.
The fact is when X-Men claimed the metaphor under Claremont it became Marvel's biggest team and the biggest superhero comic of the '80s and 90s.
Trying to ignore that reality and going back to some grandfather meaning is just bad faith reasoning.
Don't let anyone else hold the candle that lights the way to your future because only you can sustain the flame.

Charles Xavier is right for once in banning another fake mutant reality manipulator from his island. Keep that child and his tantrums away from the homeland.
Slott has every right to want his characters under his control, and Franklin is a FF character first and foremost. No non x-writer should be held hostage to the whims of Hickman's Krakoa storyline and have to defer to whatever he wants to do. Slott most likely has plans for Franklin and he shouldn't have to seek approval or permission from Hickman or JDW, it's two separate franchises. And like I said before x-writers retconned Wakanda's history to suit their story despite being two separate franchises and Wakanda not being involved in said story. Slott and any other writer is well within their rights to throw a hissy fit if x-writers appropriate their characters and undermines their stories in order to further their own Krakoa storyline. I could easily see a riff developing between the x-franchise and the rest of the MU, especially if other franchises have to defer to Hickman when they have their own stories to tell.
The logic of innate powers creating the X-gene -> losing powers leading to disappearance of X-gene only makes sense if you don't think of the implications. The vast majority of the issues highlights how the inhabitants of Franklin's created universes are still present and pouring through the portal. They are clearly present even with his powers gone, while his X-gene has disappeared. You can argue that they persist because Molecular Man helped create those universes, but (A) Valerie explicitly rants that Franklin created Prince Arboro's universe, and (B) Rickki Barnes is present to make things weird, and she was definitely created by Franklin with his powers without any Molecular Man assistance.
I passed on the majority of Slott's run on Spider-man as I didn't care for how he went about handling the character. I am feeling the same way about his Fantastic Four run.
