Man. I haven't been this hyped for a series since Rebirth Titans (here's hoping it doesn't let me down like that book). All the build up has been perfect. Now let's see what it's all been leading to

Hey, Damian’s finally looking at least a wee bit taller. Not a bad start.

But yeah I’m pretty hyped up for Damian entering the dc equivalent of a mortal kombat tournament.

I thought the Deathstroke knockoff might be Jason Todd, and the whole Respawn name might be a hint at it even, but he looks a lot thinner than Jason. So not sure anymore. Maybe Grant Wilson, but again he looks way too thin to be Grant too.

I definitely think we're meant to think subtext that it's Grant, but I don't know that I buy it, in particular with Rose standing there. Then again, Lazarus ... Somehow Connor Hawke is here ... And a Lord Death Man sidekick, and Tad Ryerstad for some reason.

Williamson has said in an interview that DC has left him kinda alone while writing Robin so far (as in: Not a lot of editorial forcing things on him), so I think that might be a good sign.
Rebirth Titans and Teen Titans both suffered a lot from that in my opinion.
I'm excited.

Is Rose concerned for Damian or is she afraid Batman might show up on the island?

Maybe DC will finally establish that Bruce misses Damian. I thought Tomasi's last arc on Tec would do that, but then it kinda didn't.

I’m assuming afraid Batman will show up, after all most of the people on this island appear to be villains and I could see people worried Batman showing up will ruin the tournament/lose out on the prize for winning.

Probably the second, but they had some friendly/respectful bond between each other, and it was confirmed in solicits that Rose is going to be his only ally for a while in this arc.
