Default Massiverse (Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, etc.) by Kyle Higgins

Written by Power Rangers and Rise of Ultraman’s Kyle Higgins, and with art by Marcelo Costa (likewise of Power Rangers fame, with work on Firefly, Self/Made, and more) and lettering by Becca Carey, the new Image Comic series follows the life of would-be-novelist Nathan Burnett. A down on his luck writer who finds himself returning to his hometown and the life he thought he’d left behind, Nathan actually finds what’s left of his life turned entirely upside down when a glowing light transforms him into a psychokinetic masked superhero.

I thought the first issue was very good. Definitely gave me Invincible vibes.

I am in. Has an Invincible or Spider-Man vibe to it, and this time no teenagers...

    Felt the same way.

Is it a mini-series? Wonder if it can be the "next" Invincible.

It would be interesting if his cop allies push him to join the cops. Him trying to enter the Academy could be an interesting story arc.

I hope this series touches upon Black Body Radiation in the future and maybe reference the blackest material made on earth called Vanta Black which works similar to a black hole. Vanta Black can absorb 96 percent of all visible light.

Issue 3 was too relatable as a writer. I guess superheroing could be a form of inspiration or procrastination.

    Issue 4 changed everything.
