So it looks like we'll get something of an Origin story for Yara in March.
Hey, guys! First time I'm posting in this thread. =) I am super excited to read Yara, I'm counting the days to it!
Anyway, Bleeding Cool posted recently a lot of Future State rumours, and part of it was about Yara. Here's the link: https://bleedingcool.com/comics/dc-f...ore-political/
Obviously, I don't know if it's true, but, my god, if it is, I loved it already so much, you have no idea. Can't wait!
Out of curiosity, how would you feel if Diana's new outfit was the one Yara Flor is wearing?
DC would really have to mess up for Yara not to take off.
I'm going to say it...thighs save lives .
So far she's mostly been an eye-catching visual design with the added benefit of cultural representation. All that's left is seeing if her personality and heroism are appealing.
Although considering the jumping around in Future State I'm curious how consistent her character might seem.
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
DC: Currently figuring that out
Marvel: Read above
Image: Killadelphia, Nightmare Blog
Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8
DAMN!!!! I wish DC artists researched and worked harder at drawing indigenous characters with facial features that make them look like actual indigenous people (instead of their usual "white woman with a tan" BS). Miss Moreira should be the official model for all DC art about Yara. She is perfect. Full stop.
