Oh, good, it's not what I imagined... I thought she became a polititian, or was magically given authorization to make laws, and she decided to fuck over other heroes with it for whatever reason.

As Gwen/Ghost-Spider is at most 20 years old, that law would apply to her, too, and the argument she got into with Peter in her last solo was whether or not that law was a good idea or not. Peter's answer was ambivalent, but a strong enough "maybe" that she reacted . . . not well, to say the least.
I can see why she'd react like that, 'cause anything that isn't a "no" makes it sound like he agrees, or at least considers, that she and other young heroes aren't old enough to be a hero, specially considering he started as a teenager too.

Of course, if we use real life standards then they aren't old enough and the law is actually correct, but that's besides the point .

Wouldn't count of that, because like I said before, the way the story is structured, it seems that Sin Eater is .LR's protagonist, so I doubt Spider-People will get much focus since they're being used to continue his story, doesn't help that Morlum rather blatantly was only around for that, so not far fetched for the Spider-People to do the same.

It's more accurate to say that she was telling him to leave to actually solve the pheromone problem, not a "Leave or Imma rape you".

Not to say she wasn't being a total creep here, or shitty to have that as a serious suggestion, but, nothing on the level of threatening to rape him.

I think he understands that it's complicated and there are a lot more kids out there than when he was just solo as Spider-Man, but he wasn't in favor of it and was trying to help Gwen, so her lashing out at him just felt unjustified.

Well, I didn't mean to insinuate that she did with how I worded it, but boy did Cindy luck out on not being written by Slott anymore.

I'll have to check it out to judge, which issue?

Well, you said that she threatened him in some way, which fortunately wasn't the case, she just suggested a dumb solution to their problem.

Thinking of it, considering how male characters are more likely to be raped in situations like this, Peter was lucky by comparison, 'cause at most him and Cindy only reached second base, and if they had sex, it'd probably be treated in this light hearted "haha they're so horny" tone instead of, y'know, how two people are being affected by it, one of them really isn't confortable with it, and how it should be obvious this whole thing is awkward at least, a terrible situation at worst; so yeah, if they had sex, and it was treated in this same light-hearted tone the story has when they "just" make out, it would be so much worse... Seriously, what the fuck Slott, did he forget ASM isn't some porn fanfiction?

but boy did Cindy luck out on not being written by Slott anymore.
I remember when GDS was coming out, and saw that Cindy was gonna be in ASM again, my reaction when I realized Slott was writing her again was basically "Oh no".

Thankfully she was only there to be jobbed, and while it usually sucks for that to happen, being jobbed compared to how Slott used to write her? Yeah, being jobbed is the better choice.

Should check out her appearances post her solo, last thing I heard is that she was in that Agents of Atlas comic.

You are 100% correct about Slott and that story. He did write it like ASM was porn. Of course, he wrote the comic in a way that not only managed to aggravate the majority of long term fans, but come up with snarky comments that added fuel to the fire. Those are the kind of reasons why I gave him a grade of F for his run

She definitely doesn't seem to respect him that much or listen to what he has to say.
Cindy Moon/Silk never has from her opening arc to Spider-Verse.

Like you, I detest Silk. Terrible character. The aforementioned opening arc of her's is one of the worst Spider-Man stories ever. Still surprised how bad Dan Slott, the co-creator of her wrote her. Horrible way to debut.

One thing I do not understand about Spencer is the need or perceived need to use her and have constant references to that arc and certain other despised stories ( everyone knows the ones I am referring to so no need to rehash). I bet he would even use and make Chapter One and Abrams Spider-Man canon if he could.

Nobody's made the character work, Silk sucks. When I found out she's be in Sins Rising and Last Remains, I let a large groan out.

Robbie Thompson did fairly good work with her (Felicia, a little less so).

In this case, Silk fits the story he's telling (Spider-Women teaming up.)

It would also be politically problematic to neglect the one spider-woman of color.

No offense of your strong dislike of Silk but when's the last time you ever read a solo Silk series issue? If not, you should go check it out. If you did and still don't like, well what else can I say?

I really do not care if something is “Politically problematic” or not. When I watch a Steeler, Nittany Lion, Yankee or Islander game the only color I care about is the uniform color. When it comes to Spider-Man I actually liked Michelle Gonzalez and she is a person of color. I have also said the best version of MJ in the movies was voiced by Zoe Kravitz ( a woman of color). I just do not like Silk and would not care if her name was Kathleen McGuire from Cork County Ireland.

That logic is similar to saying I should watch Chicago the musical because it is an Oscar winner ( despite the fact musicals are my least favorite kind of movie)

While I think that her introduction was so horrible that when I read her article on Marvel wiki, I thought it was an out of date April Fools' joke, I don't dislike Cindy as a character, Thompson saved her ass, even if I still think she's not really interesting.

Doesn't help that this misinformation is spread, I know that her TV tropes article says she threatened to rape him in that scene.

    Poor forgotten Anya.

Then again, Marvel has been white washing Anya in the last years... Which I somehow didn't notice and still feel like a moron for it.

Hey it's usually agreed that Thompson improved her a lot, but if people still dislike her, then whatever, as long as nobody is sending death threats to Slott or anything remotely similar to that.

No one in their right mind sends death threats to someone over fictional characters. If someone disliked SlottÂ’s interpretation of Spider-Man, they had one acceptable way to act: Stop reading. That was what I did with Slott after Silk. What do I think should be done with Cindy and for that matter Gwen? Keep them away from Peter. Develop their own supporting cast and rogues gallery. I think of Ghost Spider dealing with Jackal. Why on Earth does Marvel want to remind people of the Clone Saga? It makes no sense to me, especially because characters like Frank Castle, Eddie, Miles and Felicia started off as Spider-Man characters, and now they have their own place in the Marvel Universe which proves it can be done.
