I like preacher, lucifer, sandmans, 100 bullets, walking dead.

Ragnarok, Fables, Monstress, Descender, Ascender, Gideon Falls, Conan the Barbarian, The Metabarons, The Incals, Asterix and Obelix, Smurfs, Tintin, and Judge Dredd.
A currently ongoing series that you might enjoy is Once and Future. You might also want to take a look at both Jamie Delano's and Garth Ennis's 1990s runs on Hellblazer as well as the 12-issue run (that ends this month - damn you, DC!) of John Constantine: Hellblazer by Si Spurier.
Stray Bullets
Everything by Brubaker and Phillips
Everything by Rucka
Bone Parish

Y: The Last Man
Most of Image; Curse Words, Motor
Vertigo has a nice crime series, 'Vertigo Crime' I think its called. Individual crime stories.
“We have a saying, my people. Don’t kill if you can wound, don’t wound if you can subdue, don’t subdue if you can pacify, and don’t raise your hand at all until you’ve first extended it.”
Based on some of the stuff you read, try Fatale and Kill or Be Killed by Ed Brubaker & Sean Phillips. These are in the supernatural realm. Then maybe check out their other stuff which is more crime based noir.
Check out The Sixth Gun by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt, it’s like fantasy in the old west but supernatural and just amazing.
A lot of other good recommendations here already.
Try Letter 44 for some fantastic sci-fi political action theater.
I’ve really been digging some older Hellblazer recently, which someone mentioned already.
One thing I do, is I look up a title on Amazon and see what other books they recommend based on my search.
Oh and I’ve been really into the IDW ongoing of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Maybe outside what you’re looking for, but it’s not tights and capes necessarily and I think it’s some of the best serialized story telling of the last ten years.

Also recently ran through Revival on Image Comics. It’s a mystery horror series where the dead came back to life. But it’s nothing like the Walking Dead. These revivers are not zombies. Well worth a read.
Nathan Never. Black and white detective comic with a lot of shadows…
“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
Highly recommended would be the entire Michael Fleisher run on Jonah Hex
(especially DC Special Series, Vol. 1 #16 - https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/DC_Special_Series_Vol_1_16):

Thanks for all your recommendations. Be sure to check up some of them.
The Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye and The Transformers: Lost Light
Once & Future is the best comic you're not reading.
A few currents- The Plot and Autumnal at Vault are both worth reading. The Autumnal is terrific. Anything from their horror line is usually well worth a look.
American Ronin by Peter Milligan

Something is Killing The Children
We Only Find Them When Theyre Dead
Gideon Falls
Department of Truth
Are great reads if you want to catch up on more newer comics.
A couple of new ones (3 issues out) are The Autumnal and An Unkindness of Ravens. Both are about the creepy things that small new England towns want to keep hidden. That's a trope that you would think should be exhausted by now, but these two are doing it well so far.
