Not your best comeback. America's Nazi problem has not gone without comment.

    Red Skulls a Nazi tho
And yet, you don't see the Avengers offering him membership. Let's leave the whataboutism at the door please. It's pathetic.

Last time I read a story about those two, they have made peace…

A strange argument… it’s not because people have a culture that they have the same culture. Yet all mutants come, I think, from all over the world, so each one has a different culture.

I wonder if all the people that condemn Krakoa because it welcomes every mutant realise how hypocritical they are; basically their stance is if "you erred in the past you should not have redemption", and that's exactly the authoritarian states (and USA) philosophy when it comes to crime, "if you commit a crime you are evil and only deserve punishment" (no wonder USA have 1 citizen out of 100 in jail and are on of the worst first world country when it comes to crime and murders). Krakoa giving a chance to everyone is more of a Christian approach than anything else.

Right because the X-fandom and Krakoa's supporters are so forgiving of other characters they think have wronged the X-men or mutants. How many threads did we have on this site about punishing the Scarlet Witch for m-day?

Redemption implies making up for the past sins or at least being repentant. None of the villains on Krakoa displayed either of these qualities. In fact, some of them are already doubling down and proving themselves to be utterly undeserving of redemption.

Christianity throughout history has never been the bastion of uprightness it purports to be.

It's seems stupid to categorise Krakoa as this -ism or that -ism simply because it's clearly drawing from (the best traits of?) a number of -isms. Which makes sense as it's trying to become something new and different in and of itself.

I suspect Kurt's new religion will be much the same...the best tenets of all/most/some religions combined to form something new for those Krakoans who have very little or no faith, that they can follow and be a part of, and for those who while adhering to their "birth faith" can still be open to and appreciate a different ideology.

Is it so difficult to understand that a person can feel part of several cultures at the same time?

In our current real world mindset where we HAVE to be one thing, otherwise..."appropriation!" yes, apparently inclusivity is a very difficult concept for some to grasp.

That's not what the complaints about cultural appropriation are about.

I know...but it is the basic notion applied by the Twits who don't know or understand it themselves. That's my point. There is a vast difference between appropriation and appreciation, and wanting to be a part of something different and interesting because it speaks to you...that is lost on the majority of "Westerners."

The truth of the matter is most people only care about the IDEA of their own redemption.
