PLEASE don't take any ex-Robins along for the ride. This is about DAMIAN.
Fantastic art by Gleason at least, shame that I can't say the same about the writing. So in the end Requiem was just cheap drama, why acknowledged it if it doesn't bear consequences?
hmmm unconditional truth. Maybe Bruce should tell them that Dick is alive.
Looking good. Can't wait. All this talk about truth. Will Bruce tell them about Dick?
EDIT: Just noticed I'm not the only one thinking the same thing :-P
We're definitely meant to be thinking about it, that's for sure.
Is this the most you know ... RESOLUTION ... the entire DOTF storyline has gotten from any writer? I believe it is. Leave it to Tomasi to actually deal with characters and their motivations and consequences. Like his DOTF fallout issue with the bad dreams and catharsis, or hell, his slightly decadent six-issue Robin Requiem story.
Anyway, now that's out of the way ... on to the epic fun. That little moment of them taking off their masks was really nice symbolism.
Retro315 no more. Anonymity is so 2005.

Yeah, I do not get the Tomasi hate. The guy's a solid writer. His is the only batbook I'm still reading, so that sort of says where I stand.
Would love for Bruce to tell them Dick is alive to get that dumb story over with already, but they will probably drag it out until next year. So we are stuck with it. Wonder if they are even going to mention Dick being dead. I mean Bruce brought up their identities being almost exposed (although I don't know how they weren't honestly), but Dick's identity was exposed beyond measure.
Honestly though, this dialogue come across as kind of bad or rough. The DoTF fallout was handled so badly and now they are sort of just forcing it in this B&R issue which feels really out of place. It was so long ago that trying to have some resolution for it makes me wonder why bother.
Unconditional truth, yeah right!
Like others before me have already posted, when is he going to tell them that they buried an empty casket and that he has Dick running a dangerous undercover mission all on his lonesome? I think Tomasi should have consulted with the Grayson creative team before writing this.
I think Tomasi has some fans (myself included) but the fact that he constantly handles the fall out of other stories can make his run seem somewhat ancillary to other titles. It is the only Batbooks I follow with Bruce as the lead.
I am contemplating jumping back on to Snyder's main title but DotF really killed my interest in his approach to the character/mythos. Zero Year seemed like such an odd story with a crossbow toting biker Batman. I mean was it supposed to be campy or KEWL?
Sorry about the rant.
As to not derail this thread I hope that Damian returns but I really hope he doesn't return to the mantle. I want him to have a happy ending in which he isn't locked in the never ending struggle of the Batfamily.

Damian, Damian, Damian!!
I know it's all about the journey but December can't come sooner!
My fear of PJ leaving is getting worse, now he's signed on to do SM/WW.
