Default League of Batgirls, what would you do with the concept?

Ever since Batgirls: Futures End, I liked the concept of League of Batgirls, I think it is a great way to use all the Batgirl legacy characters and with DC Future mentioning 'Batgirls' again, if there was a League of Batgirls what should the team to look like?

I would like the team name to be the League of Batgirls but each member would not be called Batgirl, the team would be named in honour of their mentor and team founder, Barbara Gordon.

    The line up would include;

Barbara Gordon- Oracle (but stills suits up when the mission needs her)
    Bette Kane- Flamebird
Cassandra Cain - BlackBat/ Shadow Bat (better than Orphan)
    Stephaine Brown - Spoiler
    Harper Row- Bluebird
Maya Ducard-Batgirl (mainly to mark her separation from her father Nobody)

Unlike Birds of Prey which I see as an International, Mission Impossible-style book with experienced full-time heroes, I think this book should be mainly smaller scale and balance between these characters solving crimes and also having lives outside crime-fighting.

That is not to say that they would never deal with a big international event but it should not be its core mission.

And Misfit (Charlotte "Charlie" Gage-Radcliffe) cause I like her too.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

    LoBG? I like it.

It’d pretty much be BoP w. a different line up though.

props for remembering bette, also she should fund the group because she's rich and she came first.

I'd want the plot to be Bette, Babs, Cass, and Steph training Nell, Nissa, and Tiffany. Maybe add another protege for Cass?

    Bette mentors Tiffany
    Steph mentors Nell
    and Babs mentors Nissa

I think turning it into an almost junior detective league with Barbara being mission control, Cass field lead-- It's just Birds of Prey. Scratch that.

It's a fun idea. I only hope they remember to have fun with a team featuring Stephanie Brown instead of getting too mired in drama.

I feel like this idea didn't work with We Are Robin, and it didn't work when they then tried to recycle it with Nightwing, so now lets recycle it again with Batgirl next. Eeh...

Pre Rebith she was iirc 7 (and she was still super young in the futures end book), so she should still be to young to be a crime fighter.

But those were with unknown characters. These characters are already popular.

I think I would keep it to Barbara, Steph and Cass in the beginning, and only bring someone else in when the series has allready run for some year.

I think with 3 characters there is still enough room for everyone to get some focus, and I think at least Cass and Steph didn't really had that much since they came back.

I get not using the future Batgirls but why not Bette? She did come first after all

She’ll be too busy forming the “League of Batwomen” with Kate Kane and Ryan Wilder.
