Default What are your Go-To Comic Book news sites?

I'm sure you have more than one, but where do you go to read about Comic Book news? What are your go-to sites?

Bold to ask this on a comics news site.

    I respect the ruthlessness.

HAHA, well if you're like me, you have more than one that you go to.

CBR and Newsarama.com. are my go-to's. Comicbook.com once in awhile.

It's gotten to the point where comics journalism can't really be found online. I get the same info from the Comic Shop News papers at my LCS without all the pop up ads.

This actually is the only comic site I visit. I figure all the "news" you get from CBR or newsarama or bleeding cool is either rumor (which I have little interest in) or official announcements from the publishers/studios/creators/whoever that every site will post, so there's not much point in going elsewhere.

The one with the least number of auto-run video ads.

If anything genuinely exciting happens, it shows up on the CBR forums, so I usually don't visit anything regularly except for maybe Bleeding Cool, but that's for the juicy, juicy, often unreliable, rumors and gossip. But their website is absolute trash in terms of clickbait and ads.

Between BleedingCool and Reddit, you pretty much get all the rumors/actual news by the hour.

Comics Beat is the only one I really read regularly, I get their newsletter. Bleeding Cool headlines sometimes show up in my google news feed, and if something catches my eye, I might click on it, but that's about it. We have a fairly extensive comic community IRL in my area, including dealers, collectors, shop owners, con organizers, creators, etc. so anything important gets shared among us pretty quickly via our FB group, and that is where I get most of my news or heads ups to stuff happening I might want to go read an article about.

So I don't really have a go to site, but I have a handful of avoid like the plague sites that purport to be comic news sites.

CBR, Newsarama and Bleeding Cool are the main three sites.

Newsarama is crap now. They merged with GamesRadar, which has horrid autoplay ads. They also got rid of their archive.

CBR and Bleeding Cool are my main go-tos, though I use AIPT for previews because they usually appear there on Friday, and CBR doesn't have them up until after the weekend (and is prone to missing weeks). I regularly check Reddit too.

There’s also Comics Continuum. It’s archive goes back to 2000, too.
