Interesting of DC to have its first series that it announces for March, the big main landscape that happens after Death Metal and Future State, is Swamp Thing. I appreciate it as someone who likes Swamp Thing but its kind of mind boggling to think it was not any of the Trinity.

Either way I hope Ram continues to bring his storytelling chops from Justice League Dark over into Swamp Thing.

I like Swamp Thing but I can't help but be perplexed that Swamp Thing got a new ongoing before Black Lightning. Swamp Thing is dope, he deserves a new book but iunno, it's just a weird choice.

I'm excited, never read Swamp Thing or anything by Ram V (I'm not too clued into DC, I'm mostly a Marvel guy), but I couldn't pass this up after seeing the art

Tynion and Ram V’s JLD are what made the JLD as a concept work for me. Highly, highly recommend them, you can start with Tynion since Ram basically just finished off Tynion’s last plot threads recently. Book has been fantastic if you like horror/mystic superheroes.

Alan Moore's run will forever give the character a stamp of pedigree that Jefferson never had, though if his presence continues in it, Other History of the DC Universe may boost his signal. But as it is, that jewel in Swampy's crown makes people care a lot more for him than they do Black Lightning.

And you know me, I love Black Lightning, but it is what it is.
