So Bleeding Cool made a comment about the possibilities of DC continuing the anthology format started with Future State. What does everyone think about this?
I'm of two main thoughts...well three maybe.
1-it would be a good way to keep characters in the spotlight so to speak that may not be able to sell a series on their own.
2-it does make it less likely said characters might headline their own series though.
3-cant afford an ongoing price hike of that kind.
    Others?

Titans Academy has me worried, thought.
Because of the writer or the concept?

I think characters that can't sustain print books should get digital books that can be printed as part of anthologies.

The concept. Titans is always stuck as either JL's incompetent legacies or X-men wannabes. The school concept makes it yet another attempt to do the later, right after the last run had them searching for new "metahumans" to help.

Yeah, but we're only getting the creative team if it's one of the future state writers that's on the panel. They haven't told book announcements for writers not there at any of these panels. We may have to wait till sometime this week for the full details for March.

Her Wonder Woman has been meh but I thought her recent story in Detective Comics 1027 was solid.

Harley keeps Stephanie Phillips and Riley Rossmo.
Superman/Batman gets Gene Luen Yang and Ivan Reis.

It's very unlikely that none of the writers on the panel are launching new book, considering the other panels so far.
Marguerite Bennet on Supergirl is my bet.

    Marguerite Bennet on Supergirl.
    Bendis still on Legion.
And considering the push of newer writers, I'm betting Phillip Kennedy Johnson for Superman & AC.

Or maybe they'll have learnt their lesson, and will split up writers for AC & Superman.

Johnson and Russel are both FS writers who are on the Superman panel. Maybe it’s the two of them taking over? Russel would be a great choice. PKJ has me excited but also worried, we’ll see how it goes for his Superman FS one shots.

    And that's official and legit?

Hell yeah. The only way to do better than that would be if Morrison got inspired and wanted to return to the character with a whole fresh batch of stuff to say and do. If DC learned their lesson from Truth and let Yang write whatever the hell Yang wants, we should be in a very, very good place as far as Superman goes.

Did they say what the direction is gonna be? Are we keeping the open identity and United Planets stuff? Not really at a place where I can check this myself.....

Wait, crap, I read that wrong didnt I? Yang is on "Batman/Superman?" Not nearly as good; Yang can't do much to control the character from there.
