My point is she already has those readers.

In this instance, the current creative is publicly stating they believe Wonder Woman is queer but depicting her queerness in the book is subject to the needs of the IP in the broader media.

    Schrodinger's queerness lol.

Which is sad because if there is any superhero mythology that is baked in queerness from inception, it's Wonder Woman and the Amazons.

It's performative representation. Meaning it's not representation haha.

Rucka made it clear that she is bisexual and that is canon, that later her relationship with Steve will be exploited more deeply is another issue.
I think in these times if there is a good story, a good female character who is romantically related to Diana, there would be no major problem, everything would flow and I think this creative team has the talent to do it.
But obviously and because of Conrad's twitters, the problem lies with those who run DC, for some reason they don't want to deepen into it. Which seems strange to me, what better than one of the so-called Trinity represents that face of diversity.

For representation you have the Amazons, Cheetah, Etta Candy, etc. Actually if Wonder Woman is gay then besides maybe Steve who in her book isn't? Who is making her gay supposed to appeal to?

Over 80 years she's become a queer icon and her personal sexuality had nothing to do with it.

She's a queer icon because of her ideals, not who she's sleeping with.

I don't think anyone is asking for Diana to be full-on gay. But she IS canonically bisexual (enough of this bi erasure).

I really would love to see Kasia return since she was Diana's lover on Themyscira.

It's so easy, if you want real diversity you make Superman or Batman gay.

Yeah, but that's Gotham. They're perfectly fine making a lot of Gotham's prominent women bisexual, just not Diana who for a minute they were content to finally let slip that she is. Oops I guess?

Reminds me more when Diana when was made a lesbian in the Red Son adaptation. Granted alternate universe and all that but I imagine that gets more viewers than the average published monthly comic at DC.

Oh certainly I would, but I'm not the head of DC Comics. :P
Joke apart, it is not a question of what I want, I think of those three is the one that in her editorial history is closest to being queer.

    1) Making Superman and Batman gay isn't anymore "real diversity" than making Diana bisexual.

    2) How is it that even now people don't know the difference between being gay and being bisexual?

Granted, that version turned against all men because of Superman, so...

It's not that people don't know the difference, its that bisexuality is often dismissed as a "phase" before coming out as openly gay.

    Pah-lease.

DC didn't think about any of that when they were on-board with Diana being the god of war and showing literal blood coming out of her eyes.

Yeah, slap that on some Underoos DC.
