I'm surprised that a replacement Justice League lacks any representation from the Superman family. Kara would fit right in.

For writers I think the three most likely choices are Josie Campbell, PKJ, or Spurrier. God I would love if they could convince KSD to do it.

Pretty much confirming what we already suspected, WW definitely getting a new creative team after 800. I guess the question is whether they're doing a relaunch or a new title. In my wildest dreams it'll be something like they're doing with Superman, with one Diana-specific title and another that's more of an anthology focused on the Wonderfam.

Have there been any rumors about Si Spurrier returning to DC? Don't want to get my hopes up...

Would be very happy with any of them, though. My only hang-ups with PKJ are that (a) he's already got a pretty full plate and (b) while this isn't a dealbreaker by any means, I've liked how much the WW-verse has featured women and queer creators in recent years.

Just have to say how tired I am of these line-wide "initiatives" in comics. And it's not just DC, Marvel does this, too.

It's the Brightest New Age of Dawn...the New Beginning of Young Forever...the Dark Nights of Evil Terror Reign...blah-blah-blah....

I have zero interest in Lazarus Planet, and oh good, there's another one coming up right behind it, with poor Wonder Woman wedged in the middle. I hope the next creative team is good, but who knows if they'll manage anything worth while without getting buried in DC's latest "Everything is different and new!" nonsense.

I fear the coming year is going to be painfully tedious and tiresome.

Same. Definitely feel myself falling out of love with comics, at least the main "universe" titles.

Spurrier is currently back at DC, he’s writing a James Gordon backup in Tec right now. Yeah I think DC wants a woman to handle WW which is why Josie might get the book because there aren’t really any other options from DC’s current roster, but WW’s sales have been weak and Dawn of DC seems to be a pivot back to “safe for the direct market” choices generally, so there’s a chance they might go with a straight dude simply because their attempt at pushing diversity during IF flopped for the most part. I don’t mean to put down the work which a lot of creators did, some of which was excellent, but that’s just how I can see why they might do a 180 from what they were doing before.

I'm not sure if I'd say that current WW's run wasn't "safe". Sure, other characters got a bit more attention, but it was mostly in other miniseries done by other creative teams. Certainly nothing comparable to Superman or Aquaman.

I love new champion of Shazam so Josie Campbell would be great for a new writer. It won't be PKJ he is becoming to big of writer for Wonder Woman, they only put lower B-tier writers and worse for Wonder Woman. That doesn't mean the writers are bad just that Wonder Woman isn't a priority for either the writers or DC.

More than a change of creative team I await announcements of more Wonderfamily titles, but everything that comes will be welcome until it is no longer welcome.

True. Very much hope we get the Wonder family book everybody wants or at least some mini-series for the other characters. It's criminal that Donna hasn't had a mini for so long.

“You see…the rest of them are soldiers. But [Wonder Woman] is an artist.”

I only support the made of clay origin.
