I am excited to see the Jean and Cyclops lead X-Men team. Hopefully they get a good artist. I'm going to remain optimist that Hickman will do some interesting things with Jean and move beyond telepathic communication.

I have to LOL at all those people who thought Hickman was somehow involved in Slott's decision and forced him to do it. So much for that theory.

I'm generally not interested in the "behind the scenes" workings so...there wasn't much to interest me there.

Personally I'm really glad that the Franklin plot got sidelined at least for now because of Slott. In this new X-era where there are so many plots and directions going on at the same time it seemed a waste of time and effort to enfold into the mythos someone who is ostensibly NOT an X-Character.

Slott telling it on summits and Hickman knowing doesn't mean that he approves or had any hand in it, unlike some people were theorizing. He made pretty clear that it didn't go with his initial plans but that Slott has the right to write whatever he wants with the character.
