I was pleased to see the inclusion of the Gilded Lady here as well. I don't think she's had any appearances outside of her original Alpha Flight appearance. With her having been around for so long, it's not surprising she might show up somewhen else.

Also, is Vazhin supposed to be an ancestor of Alexei Vazhin?

That's what I thought age wise for Baron Mordo, but this stuff keeps changing on me. O_O

    But of course!

Everyone in that scene is either someone we've seen before or related to someone we've seen before.

I figured as much, just wasn't 100% sure on that one. I have to say I am super excited that you're doing more work for Marvel again. Anything else on the horizon?

One more issue of MARVELS SNAPSHOTS, the set of specials I've been curating, and then THE MARVELS.

Plus I plotted another short Spidey story, but I have no idea whether it'll ever get finished. But between that, the story in Spidey 859 and the one in KING SIZE CONAN, I've had some fun with short stories recently too.

When Marvel's ready to announce it, they won't be shy, I expect. But I'm not gonna do it for them.

Glad you're looking forward to it, in any case.

King in Black Namor #3 came out yesterday!! Here's the preview pages.

KING IN BLACK: NAMOR #3 (OF 5)

    KURT BUSIEK (W)
BEN DEWEY & JONAS SCHARF (A)
    Cover by LEINIL FRANCIS YU
    VARIANT COVER BY PAUL RENAUD

THE BLACK TIDE lay waste to all that lies before them, cutting a swath of devastation and death across the ocean floor. The only chance to stop them may lie with ATTUMA’s people — and if that fails, nothing stands between The Black Tide and Atlantis itself. A tragedy that will impact Atlantean history forever, and transform friendship into enmity. The secrets of THE KING IN BLACK are buried here.

Really enjoyed this issue. And yet again, it exceeded my expectations. I wasn't expecting a teen team vibe from the first couple of books. I wasn't expecting such a creepy vibe from this issue. What happened to the Atlantean guards above, was horrible, but I found the manner of their death disturbing, to say the least.

I do wonder about the Unforgotten Stone. At first I thought it was a relic of Knull, and I see some other folks have stated that also. But I don't think that's the case at all. I mean, why would Namor be seeking Knull altered creatures to fight Knull? All the Knull creatures I've seen so far are basically minions of Knull.

Also, now I'm wondering about this 'minor' infection of our trio of teens?!

    SPOILER BELOW!!!

My only complaint .. NOT Ambrose!!!!!
