    I remember watching a program on T.V. that was done like a news report--as if we really were in the middle of nuclear armageddon--sort of like Orson Welles' "War of the Worlds" broadcast. I guess this was 1983's SPECIAL REPORT, from Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz.

    That was Special Bulletin that I mentioned above--it had the feel of Welles' War or the Worlds radio broadcast and you can see it in its entirety on YT

    Oops sorry, the title didn't register with me when you posted it earlier in the thread. And for some reason, I always felt like this broadcast was in the early 1970s not the early 1980s, but when I tried to track it down, it seemed that SPECIAL BULLETIN must be the one I was thinking of.
