I was hoping for Mike Mignola to do a Hellboy meets Mighty Crusaders but I guess this is something.
I never became a Liefield fan so anyone else have any thoughts?

I'm an ironic fan of Liefeld, but this is unexpected in the best of ways. Nobody ever cared about these characters before, but Rob has a dedicated fanbase so we'll see what happens with them.
I still miss Renee Montoya. Oh, and I'm a dude.
I'm actually intrigued by this. I'm not a Liefeld fan, but I don't dislike him either. And given all the attempts to get traction with these characters, I agree with armlessphelan -- Liefeld's got a built in fan base, so they may help get these characters the attention some of us think they deserve.
I mean, I like them anyways, so I'm in.
I'm a fan of Archie's superheros and was enjoying the last incarnation.
Not the biggest Liefeld fan but I'll check this out all the same.

I liked the Impact Comics version but I'm not 14 anymore and Liefeld's artwork and his storytelling doesn't appeal to me anymore so I'll pass.

So, it looks like they're maybe doing four one-issue books instead of a four-issue mini-series for this?
I'm going to tell my LCS to pre-order this for me regardless of how it rolls out.
Should it be 4 issues of one-shots that leads to a new series I could be ok with that.

Easy come.....Slam the door as you go.

Not saying it was right to have a retailer incentive spoil an issue but it was a lone retailer incentive. How many really would've seen it? If not posted here and made such news I wouldn't have and frankly still am not sure about what image it is that is spoiled? Old Man Shield?Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld is departing The Mighty Crusaders limited series after a variant cover with key plot points leaked.
"When the key plot point/element is revealed on a retail variant cover - it’s probably time to exit the stage on this one.... like seriously?" Liefeld wrote on Facebook with a photo of the cover attached. He later updated the post, writing, "UPDATE - Archie informed me they did not grant permission for this to be posted and shared, much less tagged to my page. Anyway, it would have been great, but this was kind of the back breaker. Really dumb. It was fun while it lasted... on to the next!"
I'm not going to remove this from my LCS pull file but man it just feels like these properties are jinxed at Archie!

Because I had all of the titles in the last iteration on my pull list (Dark Circle), my LCS guy was trying to sell me on Liefeld's relaunch just this morning!
Yes, spoilers suck. But it's 2021 and they're all but unavoidable, the fact that this guy threw a tantrum and backed out of the whole project over such a thing speaks volumes. He was never that invested in the first place, and whatever was to come from this was probably never going to be completed anyway. I'm glad I passed.
Yea Liefeld is in his 50s and still needs to grow up. I follow his work but I don't buy his stuff off the rack anymore. I just wait until it's in the bargain bin because I know he will quit mid story.
