It’s definitely a Phaelosian, dunno if it’s one of the kids. Damn that would be dark in a way Superman comics rarely get, darker than anything PKJ has done so far (and he’s gotten dark as hell).

Yeah, I def loved Midnighter’s whole bag in this issue, right from his first line/scream/expletive (which had me rolling). Also really dug how they debate whether or not the “revolution” is really to roll yet, or if it’s too early (clearly doesn’t matter to Midnighter). Pretty funny how they all think he’s Superman too. Loved how it weaved the legend of Superman throughout. And yeah, the last page… pretty great, right down to the tag line for next issue. Straight up Spartacus.

Poor clark!people who complain clark runs head first into bullets cause he is bullet proof will get an idea..what superman does can end up like this and he knows it.

Oh come now, several of us have credited Tomasi's first year as a quality effort. That "night at the carnival" story was one of the best one-off Super issues of the decade.

There is always *something* to appreciate in any era of Superman, and I think we all agree on that, even if we disagree on what's worth appreciating.

PKJ Action got praised as one of the best DC books of the year

Byla explicitly knows of future events so I’m thinking this is a reference to a future Superman storyline:

So a team up with the GLs against Circe(?) looks to be the next big story. My guess is we’ll go back to Metropolis for a bit to get more traditional stories, and then Superman will go back out into space.
