I just want to say PKJ's AC has been amazing.
Has it been going well sales wise? I would hate if the writer had to rush his story due to low sales.
Truthfully we don’t know. Ever since DC pulled out of Diamond we don’t get hard sales anymore, just estimates based off of 50 or so stores. For now he seems to be in for the long haul, Paul Kaminski, the new head editor for the Superline is a big supporter of PKJ, so I think he may push to allow PKJ to stay until he’s done regardless of sales the way Didio kept low selling but beloved books like Gotham Central running regardless of sales. It seems to be selling in the 30k range which is expected for a “secondary” Superman book, but there’s a lot of positive talk about it elsewhere like on Reddit and it gets good reviews.

You can see the digital sales position of its most current issue here.
Oh yeah I forgot, Amazon nuked Comixology so it’s hard to know how accurate digital sales are these days either. I usually go off on this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestseller...s_8624156011_1
Action and SSOKE usually sell pretty well digitally from what I’ve seen.

Yeah, it's jsut a ranking, so it'll always be less accurate than jsut having numbers, but it seems to be in a respectable position. Generally issues place higher the more recently they've come out (which makes sense, because the next week there's new issues to take their place).
The whole Mother imagery seems very Alien-esque to me. Which makes me want to check out PKJ's Alien book.
The Olgrun legend also has a Lord of the Rings ring () to it. Which makes me really want to check out the Last God (been eyeing the hard cover for a while now).
Having said that, I like how PKJ consistently weaves in shades of other genres within Action.
I also really dig the Byla character. A bit of a trope, but he does quite well as a plot device and the interaction between him and Clark is always pretty great, and I like how it’s pointedly different from his demeanor when he’s telling tales to the children.
And the KC looking S logo on the rune is just awesome.

“Where the hell are you from? Krypton?” — Edgar Frog
I definitely recommend Last God. Bought it in floppy as it came out and it was really damn good, as a collection I'm sure it'll read even better.

DC is really screwing over Action Comics right now
No matter how many reboots, new origins, reinterpretations or suit redesigns. In the end, he will always be SUPERMAN

Normally not one for B&W over color but I can see the appeal with Federeci’s art.

This was bang for buck..felt like reading a story from american superhero comics since ewing's hulk.
"People’s Dreams... Have No Ends"
1043 was a great issue but I found it kind of odd to suddenly through this “Infinity Stone” twist into a story that’s been going on for close to a year.
Mongul does have the Jim Starlin connection to Thanos and it’s not the first time DC has made him have similar motivations.
His art is somehow even more amazing in black and white.
