Silk Solo Series gets new release date

I was reading Marvel is talking about a Cindy TV series ( in addition to her comic), so obviously they love her ( although I certainly do not). So I put nothing past them, including sending MJ to heaven with Original Gwen and replace her with Cindy.

I think you're worrying about nothing. Even if she gets a tv show she's probably not gonna be with Peter in it. Her solo run had her move on from Peter pretty fast anyway so I doubt the show would develop it further.

One of my friends is convinced MJ is taking a dirt nap at the end of Last Remains. I think she's wrong but we'll see. The story does promise a big change so one never can be sure.

If Marvel sends MJ to “Sleep With The Fish” that will make me even more angry then OMD, the original Silk story and The Other did. There is no form of entertainment that is worth being placed in a bad mood, which was the primary ( although not the only) reason I dropped Spider-Man after Silk years ago. I would not even vent about it here, I would simply go away quietly and move on: I have the Steelers and Islanders hockey starts in January followed by Yankee baseball. I do not need stuff that I know I will not like ( like more Cindy, a never ending OMD and ( especially) No MJ).

Thing is that the way it's worded implies she was an instant success, which is far from the truth, and there's still the one that says she has unique Spider-Powers, when she has one of the most boring ones with them being "Peter with organic webs", and she's not even the first one with that in 616 since Anya is also like this (Which Anya really shouldn't have those powers since she had her own powerset, but Marvel stupidly decided to slowy remove everything she had), so yeah, Marvel doesn't care about lying lol.



I have this theory that Cindy (Or at least, the idea of Cindy) is a character who Slott had in his head since he was a kid or a teen, and just, never updated the idea, which could explain why everything about it feels so much like a porn fanfiction.

Silk was an instant success, because she is a Korean Spider-Woman with a great design (once it was tweaked and finished.) She only exists because Alonso wanted a Spider-Man thing for Original Sin, so Slott made her up and then jammed her into the book for a bit before dropping her when she got a solo. You are far more interested in Silk than Slott ever was.

I did use the term ORIGINAL version when talking about Cindy and Felicia not Queen pin. My own opinion is Cindy ( and even though Queen pin was not an option, it still beats Cindy).

I mean, Felicia isn't even a case of the original version being bad, a better example would be Kaine.

I'm hoping the cat-demon villian is still around.

I do hope there's no switching up artist this time and keep Tana Ford out of this. Takeshi Miyazawa's work should pay off pretty good. Anyhow, this is how it should look:

Snoop Dogg: Those comments were not mine ( I have no idea ( nor did I ever think for a second Silk was a Slott teenage fantasy)). As for Silk, she was not an instant success. Most Spider-Man fans do not care for her ( her original arc was as close to a Hard R Rating as Spider-Man ever got), and the only reason she is still around is she is Asian, and there is a huge untapped market for an Asian character ( especially in foreign markets ( Why foreign? for some reason Asian women ( even well known stars like Maggie Q or Lucy Liu do not make it on the level of other minority actresses like Elza Gonzalez or Salma Hayak ( my personal favorite actress). The problem is except for the diversity angle, she (unlike other minority characters like Miles) brings absolutely nothing positive to the table.

Silk hopefully gets some screen time animation and or live action. Hopefully she cameos in ITSV2.

also Gwen and Miles had lots of animation even before ITSV, which helps a lot.

Silk I would say was more popular when she came out.

I certainly think Silk with her origin of being isolated for yrs brings a unique experience compared to other spiders.
Her moral compass not so defined. She being not so sure of herself, gives her a distinct quirkiness.

There is zero chance of me reading her comic. I especially do not like the idea of her at the Daily Bugle. Why? You can bet she will be part of Peter’s life ( maybe even romantically). As an MJ shipper who is for her or no one, I would take Michelle, Felicia or any female over Cindy.

Man, are you out of date. Yes, she's working for Jonah - just like she did in Thompson's run. But not at the Bugle. Last time, it was the Fact Channel, this time it's a website called Threats and Menaces.

And Peter, by the way, no longer works for the Bugle either, he's currently studying and working at Empire State University.

It looks like Silk's new series will be on-going and not a mini as originally planned because of covid.

It's the opposite. Announced as ongoing, now a mini! Unless they made the same mistake as the Champions #1 resolicit (which said "of 5" even though later issues didn't).
