I was wondering this as well, I don't care for Star-Lord so my reactions was whatever but I wanted to hear an actual fans POV.
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
DC: Currently figuring that out
Marvel: Read above
Image: Killadelphia, Nightmare Blog
Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8
Indifference I would say.
Wolverine, Namor and Doctor Doom could be bisexual and I'd feel the same way about them.
The J-man
I don't mind the change but i'm side-eying the reason why I follow both comic and movie and IMHO I found the ploy to be ineffectual in the grand scheme of things even though i dislike that Pratt is part of a church that advocates conversion therapy (that is the central issue if i'm not mistaken). Ewing is scoring points in an echo chamber and at the same time hoping to embarrass Pratt to change his church (i'm guessing that is the objective). We will see if it will be successful.

This. I doubt it get explored in any depth and since I doubt this ever gets rolled into the MCU I don’t see it being incorporated into his character on any significant level. As another poster said, it’s scoring points in an echo chamber. No one outside comics will care much and it’ll be quickly forgotten. Hell I read comics and I don’t care because this is obviously a dig at Pratt for some weird reason. A funny dig, but one that I doubt will change his beliefs or how his character is used in more relevant mediums.
An interesting concept. Always open to new possibilities. I agree with other posters, considering the setting, Star-Lord's sexuality should be pretty broad. GotG is quietly becoming a team representing LGBTQ. Herc and Marvel Boy are an item. As are Moondragon and Phyla.
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
Personally felt it was unnecessary and just done for the sake of doing it, someone at Marvel just wanted to make another major character part of the LGBT community and ignore said character's previously established history as a womanizer (though admittedly that aspect didn't really become a major part of Peter until the film and/or Bendis).
At the end of the day I really don't care just so long as Marvel doesn't decide to make this into his defining feature like they tend to do with outed characters (looking at you Iceman). Sexuality is only part of a character, not their entire identity. I don't have a problem with a Star-Lord who happens to be bisexual so long as he continues to act like the Star-Lord/Peter Quill that's always been presented before.
