I don't know about that, the way they've re-invented the character shows Marvel to be a bit out of tune with prevailing attitudes. Reinventing Carol as an un-ironic militarist in this day and age is baffling, especially since aviation has long lost that sense of romance and adventure it once had. These days, when people think of fighter pilots they probably imagine a bunch of douchebros hopped up on amphetamines shooting up innocent civilians.

Those would be the people killing with drones and you do realize that the romantic carpet bombers of WW2 were much worse. I am not pro war i don't imagine airforce pilots as a bunch of douchebros.

Yeah using small unmanned drones to try and selectively hit a specific target with the potential for unfortunate but comparatively small numbers of collateral damage vs. deliberately using entire fleets of massive bombers to DELIBERATELY carpet bomb entire neighborhoods/cities knowing full-well that massive numbers of civilians will be killed or maimed for the express purpose of scaring them into surrendering. Accidentally killing a few dozen vs. deliberately killing thousands or even tens of thousands at a time, which one seems worse to you?

Said it time and time again. Some comic fans don't know what they want. For instance. Some say they want more exposure on lesser known comic characters. Marvel/DC does that but the book doesn't sell well so they ends up getting cancelled because the same bunch who want more exposure on lesser known characters would rather buy X-Men, Avengers, Batman, and Superman

I tend to try books with new or underused characters just...yknow, to hold out hope.
Ms Marvel is doing quite well, wonderful book. that's the only new character i can think of that;s caught on.

I agree that it'd be disrespectful to remove Mar-Vell from a Captain Marvel film, but I don't mind her having the title. Maybe a character or two can refer to her as Ms. Marvel in a tongue-in-cheek way.
