Hence, she does not need a plane, visible or not.

She doesn't fly in her own live action pilot, nor in Brave and the Bold, in none of the live action films so far (haven't seen 1984 yet) and I'm pretty sure she doesn't fly in the 2009 film. There are times where she does, and times where she doesn't.

It's funny tho that you ignore my first two paragraphs and only respond to the last part. She doesn't need to fly, and it's not a huge issue if she does, but at the end of the day it depends on personal preference and the story itself.

Can someone give me the difference between gliding on air currents and flying? Doesn't Storm from the X-Men do the former and it's considered the same thing? Do Wonder Woman fans really see it as a disservice to the character if they don't call flying "flying"?

Diana cant/couldnt control the air currents, it takes one wrong breeze and "whoosh" your going in the wrong direction. Storm's powers allow her to control the weather so....

I’m pretty sure she flew in Brave and Bold at least once. But what’s the issue? I kinda wanna see it as a permanent fixture just to mess with folks lol

She flies at the end of the live action movie and spoilers:
    in the sequel
end of spoilers. Almost every appearance, animated or live action has her flying. The 2009 movie, Brave and the Bold (which is based on the Golden Age) and the unaired pilot that everyone hated are the only modern interpretations where she doesn't fly.

She most certainly flies in Wonder Woman 1984.
    end of spoilers

Didn't Rucka address this during the Reflections book tour? I mean, we know the real world reasons she has it (iconography) and in the books there has been plenty of takes. It was RIDICULOUSLY powerful during Eric Luke's run with a multitude of uses. Gail Simone also showed how useful it can be at the conclusion of the Ends Of The Earth arc. She has also let her fellow Leaguers use it as in BRAVE AND THE BOLD at the end of the big Trismegistus arc.

I don't see the point of the question. I mean by that thinking, why does Superman need eyes since he can "hear" people doing battle on Saturn's moons while he is waiting for Starbucks. You could really say that about any ONE of her many powers. She has a ton of powers all at premium/ultimate/top tier levels so as a superhero she and those like her (Supes, Cap, MM) could really make do with just one. Why have all the other ones?

I don't see why she can't have both. The invisible jet can be used if it is for very far distances, interstellar travel or going underwater.
