Steel (John Henry Irons) is featured prominently in that promo but isn’t in anything yet. PKJ has said there’s plans for Steel, and his presence in the promo makes me feel like he shot a book coming out of the Superman event in Sept, most likely a mini or a maxi.

Supergirl returns to DC’s comics this summer to headline her first new series in years: Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow! Launching in DC’s Infinite Frontier era with art by Bilquis Evely and Mat Lopes, written by Tom King, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow takes Supergirl—and sidekick Krypto—into space on a journey that will have Supergirl fans cheering for more!

Kara Zor-El has seen some epic adventures over the years, but has recently found her life without meaning or purpose. Here she is, a young woman who saw her planet destroyed and was sent to Earth to protect a baby cousin who ended up not needing her. What was it all for? Wherever she goes, people only see her through the lens of Superman’s fame.

Just when Supergirl thinks she’s had enough, everything changes. An alien girl seeks her out for a vicious mission: her world has been destroyed and the bad guys responsible are still out there. She wants revenge and if Supergirl doesn’t help her, she’ll do it herself, whatever the cost.

Now, a Kryptonian, a dog and an angry heartbroken child head out into space on a journey that will shake them to their very core!

Brought to you by Eisner Award-winning writer Tom King (Batman/Catwoman, Mister Miracle and Rorschach) and Eisner nominee artist Bilquis Evely (Sandman Universe: The Dreaming) this maxiseries promises to be a character-defining masterpiece the likes of which has never been seen before for DC’s Maiden of Might.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a new eight-issue limited series by Bilquis Evely, Mat Lopes and Tom King, launches on June 15

Having read his Superman: up in the sky story, he may actually do a really good job with Kara.

Happy to see Roy back at the forefront, although I wonder if this will account for what little we see of Barry moving forward.

GLC (Hal, Kyle, Guy, and Jess) - Don’t know who would be writing this
It would be nice to see them get a book.
Teen Titans with the cartoon line-up: Guessing this is planned to spin out of Titans Academy
    Will they call it "Titans?"
Aquafamily - Might just be a tease for the 80th Anniversary issue
Aquaman - Put a shirt on.
Shazam - No surprise there, I hope Johns isn’t writing it though.
I hope DC doesn't promote Black Adam at Billy's expense.
The Totality - Lex, Talia, Savage, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific, guessing this will spin out of that IF minievent
So how soon until Lex, Talia, or Savage pull a Lex, Talia, or Savage?

There was an interview, here is the link below, but one thing caught my attention because I remembered the words from Future State from a series that Williamson also wrote.

"Flash, Alan Scott, and a few other heroes have to deal with the ever-growing new Multiverse. There is a conspiracy brewing in the Multiverse after the events of Death Metal. And Darkseid is back and has his own plans for its future."

Anyone else getting a Jess Quick of Earth-11 vibe from that? Because I remember Williamson writing that a big multiverse conspiracy brought in Jess to help and then he stayed to clean up the fallout.

    Well I'm in for both.

King has always been hit or miss for me, so I'm hoping his Supergirl is the former (really don't like that wild west font for the logo though...)

Just when I think it might be safe to look into Supergirl since Bendis is no longer controlling the S-Family, they put Tom King as the writer.

    I'll definitely avoid that!

And another ridiculously strong woman going with a sword?

Maybe Superman writers are just more dog people.

Manchester Black had Jon vaporize a cat.
