So no solicitations then...
There’s not a thread yet to gauge how folks are responding to the Infinite Frontier line so far, but I wanted to register my general feelings so far.
1. There are too few titles, but
2. I’ve read them all so far and there’s not a bad one in the bunch. Superman was disappointing but not actually bad. Everything else has been good to great, and
3. I’m still buying about the same number of DC comics, but
4. The quality of the line is much higher than in the recent past, so
5. I guess I’m not feeling there are too few titles anymore. I would rather have less books that are good-to-great than more titles featuring a lot of mediocrity.
I’m reserving judgment until there’s more to react to, but so far I they are off to an excellent start.
Mine, now. Disclaimer, some of the art are really good and usually that means I'm gonna wait for trade or even HC, but in the mean time I'm keeping up with the spoilers for lore
1. I like that DC pretty much use every single method to make every publication canon, from Metaverse to Hypertime. It's confusing, but surprisingly I can keep up with it... so far... and since the main takeaway is I can use anything and they can use anything, I'm happy for the both of us.
2. As usual when there's a new beginning, I'm paying attention to consistency and when's the first time they're gonna screw it up. It seems so far they pay attention to the connection, with the Bat titles operating under Tynion's connectivity and the Superman title already connected to Suicide Squad. So for now it's good.
3. Speaking of Tynion, he's out there making bisexual buffet with his new characters and I'm feasting. Ditto with Travis Moore on Wonder Woman. Everyone's so hot.
4. There are a few wait and see, such as spoilers:end of spoilers
how's Waller gonna keep Conner in line and the Super family from finding out. I'm still waiting for Jon to be deaged, and whatever's going on with Batman and Red Hood because it sounds like out of characterization for drama.
5. The first new things in this new era are the changes to Alan Scott, the Golden Age lineup, and Dick Grayson's back story. Reasonable, considering Bludhaven shouldn't even exist if Realigned Timeline = Post Crisis, so some adjustment has to be made. Just like when these things happened in Rebirth, I count these new additions and adjustments as New Continuity. So as of now, I won't call this continuity Rebirth or Post Crisis. It's neither of those. It's DC Infinite.

One was created later on:
Idk. Titans Academy feels more like the Legion academy, which feels like the inspiration for Strange Academy rather than the X-Men, to me.

Anyone heard why the solicits are delayed? Should have been this past Friday.
Even though it's a five week month, it's still only has four Fridays, DC solicits are usually released on the second Friday.
So I didn't know where else to post it but here, but its kind of interesting. So Bendis was doing a Justice League interview and basically announced that Justice League would eventually be having a crossover.....with itself. Let me explain, basically Bendis announced that alongside Ram V there will be a crossover storyarc with the Justice League Dark, utilizing the return of Xanadoth the lord of chaos that Bendis created during his Superman run (remember that issue with Khalid meeting with Clark post-identity reveal and they had a heart to heart, yeah that villain).
I'm interested in this for two reasons, first a Justice League and Justice League Dark crossover sounds cool especially if its Ram V's JLD and second it is interesting to consider a story crossover with a main series and its backup series, I wonder if that means we will see more of that throughout the various DC books right now.

"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.

David Marquez mentioned on the Word Balloon podcast that him and Bendis have plans for a Jinxworld creator owned book. I think this would still be with DC? Little unclear since reportedly Bendis is no longer DC exclusive but Jinxworld was/is his DC imprint. Possible that Marquez is using outdated terminology though.
