No it’s a special third option, Bendis time. It happens at a time and place of the writers choosing and doesn’t match up with anything else that is going on at the moment.

In all seriousness though given the delay I wouldn’t worry about it too much, Bendis is the only writer still acknowledging Leviathan last I checked.

Hopefully Bendis actually uses the correct framework for a mystery story this time, but I won't read so it doesn't matter to me.

They absolutely mishandled introducing this book. It should have been released immediately after Event Leviathan when there were still buzz for a follow-up. Checkmate even with a known writer is not going to sell. Just ask Greg Rucka. Unless they do another event, this book won't go pass 24 issues.
