The gunman had went through particular lengths to demonstrate a point earlier, and just the concept that the air quality mattered to the men in the back meant that.....among many things, nothing was keeping smoke from getting to them.
Now covered behind the seat, Lucy snapped open her guitar case...not longer hiding its contents to Suzie, who would very clearly see it was not carrying a guitar. The interior was predominately a very impressive looking rifle, some other handguns, a collection on canisters(some clearly juryrigged from tin cans and other materials) and packaged half eaten jerky that gave off an aura of sadness....somehow.
Reaching in, she pulled out two of the less juryrigged canisters....then looked suzie in the eyes. "Run to the front, don't stop....its going to get very bad back here very quickly. Hold your breath and run."
Lucy flicked her eyes to the asile, as if indicating she should get ready.....then she yelled, loudly. "CLEAR THE BACK!"
Pulling the pins, she took one big deep breath and lobbed them over the seat, landing in the seats just ahead of the rear before immediate blasting out their contents......teargas.
