The girl started laughing, even as Lucy discarded her pistol, preparing to enter close quarters combat, " ~aah, you've gotten rusty~ Little Lucy, the lion cannot protect himself from traps, and the fox cannot defend himself from wolves. One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves." As she went for the grapple, the girl gripped her wrist and Lucy was struck by the strange and horrifying sensation that her energy was being sapped.

Fortunately, Lucy would be spared the long term effect of this as John approached.

Quickly turning, the girl flung Lucy straight into John, all the while once more making her finger gun, "Coal Chamber..." Electricity crackled from the stand, and despite the apparent threats of mixing water with it, she didn't seem to mind.

With Suzie's words of encouragement, the rottweiler bolted forward.

She was right, he did have somewhere he needed to be. That little boy needed him, as did the man and woman. He needed to protect them... protect them from that thing.

Just as the girl was preparing to unleash a blast of electricity, the dog pounced, teeth sinking into her shoulder. Unfortunately, the element of surprise was limited in its advantages, for the metal-clad fist of Coal Chamber punched right through the hound, splattering the nearby wall with gore and blood.

"~such a shame~ Would have made for a fantastic companion with some training," The girl said, hand resting on her now wounded shoulder.
Just down the hall, halfway between the others and the elevator, Jinny finally regained some of her balance and strength.

Not far from her was [Genesis], standing with a pose that stood in defiance of the attacks, a mirror of Jinny's own inner mood. Prepared to act on Jinny's direction.

There were five of them against this one person.

That is, until she heard the mechanical noises of the Elevator behind her.

Her mind raced as she tried to make sense of this, and figure out what the heck is going on and who the heck is that electricity girl.

Whomever she was, she seemed to know, what is her name, Lucy?

Shaking her head, realizing that she hasn't even gotten to know all of the others from the bus yet.

"No good, no good" she spoke under her breath.

She still has no idea what's happening. But, then again, times like this you just suspend disbelief and embrace the absurd.

With that, she begins to consider her options.

Had she been this strong before?

The through aimlessly passed through Lucys mind as she flew backwards, time seemingly slowly to let her appreciate the gravity of the situation she was in.....the situation "she" was in. Facing down a face from her past with no recourse but to fight, however futile it was.

No...that wasn't entirely accurate. She could run, make a strategic retreat via the stairwell. The ultimate objective didn't seem to be her....perhaps that could be used to her advantage. If she could hit the landing from this at just the right angle she could maybe reach the exit before...

A disgusting crunch dissolved Lucys train of thought, her turn in mid air revealing the...unfortunate remains of the recently deceased now airborn.

He was one of a kind, displayed intelligence and bravery that not even some humans could.....and just like that, snuffed out in an act of self sacrifice......and for what.....So she could run away again.

    So....she could just keep running.

Lucy gritted her teeth and spun herself mere moments before she would impact with the already prepared John....an impact that never came, rather her feet found purchase against the air directly in front of John, like landing against a wall invisible wall of air. Or at least....that's how it appeared to John.

To Lucy, her flight was stopped when her feet landed against one of the floating metal rings of her ghost, having both shielded John while giving her a convenient springboard to....

    ....return to the fight.

Her momentarily lapse into escapism was gone, Clutch had died because of something from her past and so too would her newly acquired "family" if they didn't flee....and whatever dire agenda that woman had here would be unopposed.

Pushing off the ring, Lucy landed on the hallway...the rest of her stand slipping into position behind her as she quickly attempted to analysis the situation for a better approach to attack...

"....you were surprised to see me....so you can't have been here just to fight with me. Why are you even here....hurting more innocents...."

John watched his distant relative jump off of thin air in bafflement, but focusing. It was clear that he could not hope to fight with the enemy in a direct confrontation, so if he wanted to help, he would need to try a sneak attack. He scanned the hallway, looking for an open or loose door. He hoped that inside one of them would be an empty syringe. If he could find one, it would make for a devastating weapon

Then the dog, named Clutch according to Lucy, attacked the strange woman, and the invisible thing blew a hole through the dog. As blood and gore painted the hospital hall wall, Jamie's eyes widened in shock and terror at the graphic display.

As she stared at the scene of horror before her, Jamie realized that she was likely going to do the same to Suzie, and Lucy, and probably everyone else, just like Toby, Flors, and George had tried.

As that knowledge filledher mind, something inside of her clicked, as if an internal switch had been flipped. Her hand gripped the handle of her tire thumper as her face twisted in anger at the brutal death she'd just watched, and Jamie charged the girl. With a primal scream of rage, Jamie swung the thumper wildly at the girl, wanting, needing to stop this girl before she and her mysterious thing hurt or even killed a member of her new family like she had Clutch.

In most normal situations, the adrenaline fueling Jamie's rage might have given the advantage. It appeared to be exactly the case as her tire thumper struck the girl in the face; a cathartic sensation no doubt.

Unfortunately, this girl was far from normal as Jamie would find it impossible to pull her tire thumper back only for Jamie to find that she held it in between her teeth. The girl's long canines deeply pierced the wooden weapon, sending out spiderwebs of cracks across its surface. Spitting the tire thumper out, it (and possibly Jamie if she hung on) smashed into the nearby wall.

Now a remnant of it spewed in an ark and spilled over the floor of the hospital hall to the girl and her twisted phantom...and may perhaps disperse the others who couldn't see the latter.

It won't do them any good if they can't see what they're up against, maybe this will get them to step away for a bit, Suzie thought, her attention now on the metal monkey at the small girl's back. You ain't feeling much pain, but I'd bet you still gotta breathe.

For a moment she stood there behind her shadowy creature, its long arms fanned out, poised to strike.

Issued from the fanged thorax of「Jigsaw Feeling」, the area around the frightful soldier accosting them filled with that opaque veil from the bus. Even from a distance, the bitter, burning essence stung Suzie's tired eyes, and she winced.

Yet there was no sound of struggle, nor anything greater than a cutting repartee from Lucy's assailant. Not a single cough, as if she hadn't so much as drawn a breath.

Is it the ability of the spirit following her? The electric crackle of the mechanoid simian thing sparked about the flooded hallway. Counting down the doors from where she heard the little peep earlier. Clutch was trying to get back to his master...we can't let him see him like this.

"Innocence and guilt..." Came the girl's voice from the clouds, raspy, "Meaningless terms defined only by perspective... not that I care. You should know why I'm here, little Lucy. The General's word is God."
It wasn't too far of a distance away, perhaps a few doors down. Why'd you have to go and do that, you big-hearted Rottie? Pulled the lot of them right from the street to get to where he needed to be, and then this happened.

Under the trill of the fire alarm triggered by the broken sprinkler Lucy'd shot off, Suzie studied the hallway. Would the tear gas provide sufficient cover? It wouldn't last long as the water went, certainly., if that thing the small child controlled had its way with electricity, that would pretty much be the end of it.

I have to try...what can you do?

Her eyes lift to the ceiling, and 「Jigsaw Feeling」's smashed a long arm through it and crushed the emergency piping between its fingers.

    "JYA-SHAAA---!!!"

Then it fell to the floor on all fours, falling is maw-belly onto the flowing waters as it drew up the water on the floor like a morbid, fanged sponge.

Jamie watched as her tire thumper was bitten by the girl's long canines, deeply piercing and damaging it, before spitting it out with enough force to tear it from her hands and sending it flying into the wall.

Turning from where her weapon flew to face the strange girl, Jamie took a step back, eyes wide in fear as she stared at the thing in human form. How could they fight someone... something like this, who was strong enough the crush wood with her elongated canines, or should she call them fangs? And attack with some kind of superstrong invisible thing.

But Jamie doubted they could run either, as they had no idea how fast the invisible thing was, or the girl for that matter. What was she to do? What could she do? Then a though came unbidden to her mind.

'What would Funny Valentine do?' Jamie wondered, but she already knew what the 23rd president of the former United States and one of the people she admired. Taking a deep breath, Jamie mentally though 'I'm sorry, I think this is going to be the end.' Jamie thought as she moved toward her damaged tire thumper. Grabbing it, she spun in place and flung it wildly toward the strange girl before charging after it, swinging an equally wild punch at her, expecting it to lead to her death.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

Before Jinny could respond, she saw Jamie making a reckless attack, and panicked. "No, Jamie, don't do it!"

Crushing the emergency piping seemed to do the trick as the makeshift kink sealed off the flow of water to the sprinklers, leaving only minor drips dropping from them. With Lucy only having set them off recently, Jigsaw Feeling's task of sucking up the water would be simple for that section of the hallway, although it would need a bit more time to consume all of the water on the floor.

He wouldn't run from this, he would fight. He would 'take the napkin first', which in this case would be attack the strange girl, regardless of the hopelessness of the action. Her hand curled into fists as she steeled her shaky resolve best she could, terrified as she realized this would likely result in her death.

Plunging directly into the cloud of tear gas Jigsaw Feeling had expelled, Jamie's senses would understandably be affected. Wildly flailing her limbs, in the slowly dissipating clouds, she would, unfortunately, find herself easy prey for the girl within. Without a word, Coal Chamber was summoned, an electrified fist smashing into her, although Genesis would be the one to take most of the brunt. Still, the force would be enough to launch Jamie out of the gas and out of danger for the time being.

"The generals word....." Lucy seemed to ponder a moment before her mind flashed to the moment the door had cracked open but for a moment, revealing a poor boy who had would soon lose a friend. "....are you here for the child? Hasn't he suffered...will suffer enough thanks to what you did...."

Behind her, the rings of Diamond Sky scattered, floating just behind her as each began to pick of speed. Eyes became a blur and the air around the girl began to vibrate from invisible force.

    "I'll not allow it..."

Lucys eyes flash to ghost sucking the water, then to jamie, launched backwards by the force of the enemy ghost...electricity crackling around its fist.

"Suzie! Soak her!" The soldier shouted not a moment before one of Diamond Skys rings shot forward, quickly spinning under the airborn Jamie and the banking upwards to "catch" Coal extended arm within its ring....immediately shrinking til it acted as cuff. Not stopping its motion, the ring attempted to jerk the stand arm backwards...attempting to smash the stands own electrified fist into the user behind it.

In the meantime, the remaining two rings flew beneath Lucys feet as she broke into a forward sprint...each catching her foot as it fell, keeping her above the water as she made a dash towards the open elevator and her weapon case.
