    Congrats to Englehart Humperdinck.

And I have to say that I am surprised that Iron Maiden did not run with this cover:

Congratulations to Englehart Humperdinck for a Definitely Conclusive cover. A wonderful piece of art with the end of adventure imagery.

And now, what the captain has learned in this "peak of the week": We like endings. Whenever we enjoy a show, book, or happening, how it ends is always of utmost importance. Chess players study endgames where the pieces are fewer and the situations far more easily defined. The same goes for comics and other media. But these were aspects the captain has been aware of. What he has actually picked up is that the covers often reflect the fact that there IS an ending and not necessarily what that ending entails. And in the era where run-on continued stories in funny books is common, that ending is often welcome. Or dreaded. You decide.

In conclusion I leave you with the advice of Lester Dent in his tutorial on writing:

"The snapper, the punch line to end it."
