I'd rather Hippolyta remain an amazing Queen, doing Queen things on her island, while Diana be the superhero. I really don't think being a full time superhero and full-time monarch (especially when in two far-apart locations) work very well together.

Kinda weird to see her on the League instead of Diana and I too see her as more of a monarch, but I'm also slightly intrigued. What's already revealed of the design looks good.

They better not be planning on destroying Themycira again or whatever. That would be another major ticking off point for me. I hope they have some other reason for why Hippolyta is off the island. Under better circumstances I could see her appointing a regent or delegating to a council, but given that civil war that was instigated by grail and then the Bana moving back-in in the annual, I'm not sure this is good time for her to be stepping down.

The League hasn't done much good for Diana in the post-Crisis years and since she usually gets devolved to Warrior Woman on the team I'd say at the moment I'm fine with this as that characterization fits Hippolyta better than it does Diana.
