It really doesn't. But I'm sure Aaron would be able to stitch together a seemingly coherent rationale to say that it does.

Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!
If I'm to guess, I suspect Aaron will use some loopholes here.
To be honest, Gaia (i.e the actual mother of Thor) hasn't been much of a presence all these decades.
Looking at it from that perspective, it's pretty easy to slot the Phoenix in there. Although, during JMS run Thor used his "earthson" powers to manipulate the Earth, I guess some retcons can easily address this.
I think that's what Aaron is aiming for.
Gaea is, like, rarely used so he thinks it will be ok to retcon that.
oh Ik (it was temporarily though).
I'm just going by that what does he know about Thor's birthright thing.
when I first saw that, I even jokingly remarked how they will retcon his origin.
jokes on me I guess.
don't even joke about that.
This makes the Thor vs Phoenix Emma thing creepy.
Also did he not use his nother Gaeas abilities of plant control in the last event
Why just why? Whenever they start messing with classic heroes origins it just comes out stupid. Tieing Thor to Phoenix is just dumb on every level.
The door can't hit him on the way out fast enough. Aaron has been my main reason from giving up on Thor and the Avengers. I have absolutely no interest in this Heroes Reborn stupidity. It's My Hope that someone pull the handle and flush the whole thing. That's the best any can hope for.
that's just emma being emma heightened by the phoenix rather than the phoenix itself
what's actually creepy is Thor having dated the phoenix in aaron's own run
(though i suppose if phoenix is the representation of all life any relationship she has as a host would be off)
