Just a random thought, does anyone think Kasper Cole should change his name from White Tiger to White Lion?

That sounds like something that gets decided at a test screening. And we know Marvel will let a test screening influence the final movie (see W'Kabi's clear motivations deleted scene)

And as good as what he typed sounds there is another issue. If the entire movie is about MOVING ON FROM T'CHALLA. Then T'Challa popping up at the end (or hinted too) undercuts everything the movie people just watched was about.

I hate Feige didnt push this back for another year. Cause without a clear plan this could wind up as bad as one of those new Star Wars films. Their reviews were good for the most part but fans hated a few of those movies.

Marvel should reboot the entire Black Panther franchise like they did with Spider-Man, Blade, and the Fantastic Four.

Coogler will double down on Shuri being BP. The writing's on the wall. Think about the casting. There is not Zuri and he became a shaman instead of the great warrior in the comics. W'kabi led the rebellion and he was the Border Tribe Champion but he will probably be jailed. He may have a redemption arc. He is such a great actor, so I hope he is used. M'Bku is the gorilla tribe leader. There are no other prominent male roles. The future of the BP franchise is female. Shuri, Nakia, Okoye and Ramonda will take lead the franchise as a ensemble. And they are introducing Riri Williams in the story. Have we heard of any young Black male heroes being introduced in the film? You don't see them introducing teenager Night Thrasher. Even though I would love to see him in the MCU. The only Black male hero with a franchise in the MCU will be Blade and that is if they don't have his daughter take over for him. I don't count Sam Wilson because he can't win any one on one fight with a big villain or other heroes. He took all kinds of Ls in his series or just fought to a draw. And they have not given him any powers. Wait until they bring Captain Carter to the MCU with the SS serum. I write this as I see so few Black creators in the MCU really pushing for Black male heroes. It's like they are mind controlled not to do so.

I'm. Not fully convinced about that. Anyone in Cinema, no matter how successful, will think that completely side lining Their lead and replacing them with supporting cast will lead to success. Not without them already being majorly established. And this has not happened at all I don't think they are that dumb, and of so? Then the franchise will be dead anyways and not carry any weight going forward and will just be used as a prop, on which case I will have long stopped caring

I think yall are going a tad too far acting like T'CHalla wasnt a genius. However, the forced James Bond aspect was something specfically from Feige. That was a mandate. And probably a small reason why Ava said no.

No one is saying T'Challa wasn't a genius. However, him being a super genius? Hard to say. He was completely over shadowed in that regard to Shuri. Which is fine of that's her lane, but there should of be a dark knight rises moment where we had clear knowledge that T'Challa is a super genius, or atleast mention of it. Especially since T'Challas greatest weapon is his mind. You wouldnt have Cap not be leading and taking charge on his own movie and having someone else as the strategists, which is what he is known for and instead just make him a super soldier.

Okoye and Nakia don't step on T'Challas toes (well Nakia a little for being the one pushing for Wakanda opening borders) but they there own lane. T'Challas defining feature is his mind, and that was given to Shuri. She literally covered every aspect of science and technology From mechanical a engineering and nanotech to medicinal geological studies. That was the mistake.

That's why it would of been okay of the design group created the new habit and s the technology on there, however, the. If stuff like the shield, cloaking tech, and the transferring of vibranium by making it inert temporarily should of been T'Challas creation. ESPECIALLY since that basically calls back to doomwar when T'Challa figures out how to make vibranium inert. That should of all been T'Challa and it would of been easy to do and made sense comic wise.

And by the way, Shuri will get annoying quickly as the lead because her character is only good on doses and not for headlining the franchise as she is

I think I enjoy the side characters the most in term of writing though. Monica, W'kabi and Taku are great. The two minions of Killmonger, whom serves as comedy relief, are also fun. I'm expecting a turning point for them.

The art is consistent and very good. Priest really borrowed a lot from this run and developed it further. Sucks I can't finish it.

That's what they did. They made T'Challa Black Captain American who is a King. I still have my doubts that he was a genius. Maybe he is just talented in design like Night Thrasher. Think about when Vision was bought to Wakanda. T'Challa did not chime in about what could be done to remove the Infinity Stone. He did not offer any technological advise or even knowledge. We get one line about his old suit design. One. Actually my favorite T'Challa scene was the deleted scene in Captain America Civil War when he is talking to Black Widow. It shows how his mind operates. It shows how he cannot be manipulated by Widow. He even analyzes her briefly. And he is a step ahead of her. That is comics T'Challa.
