You would be (as well as anyone who buys this) an idiot to even THINK AT ALL that this is what he wanted. Even in his early career with all my children he was thinking about legacy. At the start of his career... How can anyone say with a straight face that this is honoring Chad? It literally goes against EVERYTHING he said when he was around and everything he fought for. Truly

The MCU literally dumbed T'Challa down to elevate Shuri's intelligence. I understand that the BP film is based on the O07 setup and Shuri is his Q but T'Challa's intelligence is a fundamental aspect of the character. Otherwise he is just King Captain America of Wakanda. T'Challa should be much more than that.

I think its more nuanced than that, seeing as they could've easily recast him in this cartoon but he wanted to be the one to do it. He wanted this character to survive yes but it also seems he wanted to be this character, like RDJ wants to be Tony and so on.

I am not going to speak much on what someone I never knew and never met would or wouldn't want when they arent here but I just hope they can stick the landing. Theres no version of the scenario I'm completely ok with, but I'm open to whatever. Should they decided to recast I support it, and as of now then not recasting I also can understand even if its difficult.

I didn't watch them in theaters like I did BP. It just doesnt seem exciting when my favorite character whom i have only known existed for 8 years but waited a lifetime to see someone who looked like me, occupy the screen like he did, I just can't care about the rest of the MCU with his story being ended so soon after it began
Chad will be in a few other episodes as well. This was just the main focus one.

I did. And it put a huge smile on my face when I walked around the palace and talked to Thor. Thor also mentions Bashenga when T’Challa talks about picking up Thor’s hammer.

    spoilers:
Also in regards to the Easter egg with Tetu, I’ve been thinking more and more about how that could possibly lead into an actual solo game. Maybe they could say that one of the Wakandans Klaw kills near the climax of the story was probably a relative of Tetu. Enraged by this, he blames T’Challa for not being strong enough to stop Klaw in time and that bringing outsiders into the nation made things worse. Not helping matters in that he made Shuri Queen Regent so he could help the avengers and Tetu sees this as the last straw, leading him to start a rebellion against T’Challa.
    end of spoilers

That’s how I would handle things at least.

Here’s some free roam content from the game. I think I’m sold on this. Spoiler don’t watch if you want to be surprised by free roam content.

Something just feels off about the whole thing man.

To announce no recast so quick, to refuse to push the movie back, to once again having a short turn around in post production.

Everyone is filled with sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much grief they can't recast... but they can still make the movie he built? Really?

I've never been more firm in my "i refuse to pay anything for this movie" stance.

Of he wanted to be the character. However he wasn't do arrogant to think ONLY he could play the Character and without him the character should be retired.

Yes either option would be tough, however, an actor can grow into the role of T'Challa so long as their not trying to be a replacement Chad. However, killing the character with Chad is far worse and leads to making the character irrelevant in his own mythos. When it's very clear it's NOT Wakanda that makes the franchise interesting

I mean I really want you to see the movie if nothing more to see "how" they honor Chad. I have no doubt the filmmakers/crew will get that right. However, yea...the more info the more things make less sense.

I been as happy as I've been in a long time after this recent T'Challa stuff. His star is back as big as its been in a while on social media. I'm hoping this renewed love for the character makes a difference to the MCU heads.

Real talk its almost inexcusable to not just have T'Challa get lost in space. They can mourn his loss, etc

However, can easily say he just had to change faces while on some adventure (its comic book movies..people will buy in)

Just flat out wrong for Feige to NOT do it this way. They can have their cake and eat it too. Their animation department already did it, why not have the same thing happen in the film?

I enjoyed the episode today. I love Djimon Hounsou interacting with Chadwick Boseman as one Black Panther to another. Obviously, the dedication at the end made the whole thing bittersweet.

I wondered if there would be any inspiration from Coates' run of the comic. The references to T'Challa being an explorer was definitely consistent but it was obviously a very different story.

    Co-signs.
Now the name black panther is essentially a costume with a line of people wearing it.

They do have the Jabari tribe mountains there. I think they'd at least have plans for more if not a spin-off
