No no no.

His status increased while playing T'Challa. However, his gravitas is something HE brought to the role. Not that the character doesnt have gravitas, not that other actors dont, but he had something that the JDWs of the world just dont have.

I'm not saying you need an actor of Boseman's caliber to be T'Challa. I'm just saying JDW just doesnt have it...yet. Some of the other suggestion work better.

No way does JDW hold it down during M'Baku's intro. Boseman's eyes, body language, silent strength were on display. Somebody like Sope would have been able to hold down that scene.

Just watched Shang Chi. Definitely on point and one of the better films of the MCU. The action setpieces were fantastic and the fight choreography is undoubtedly the best in the MCU and the fantasy elements were truly embraced. I thought Akwafina was going to be a major problem for me but she was fine. I would have loved to see T'Challa and Shang Chi interract or spa with one another at some point but whatever, Marvel don't understand the assignment.
