Well, men abusing women is far more common, but why would T'Challa himself be ok with that? Also, when was it stated the Dora must do whatever he wants? I don't remember that connotation

The issue, IMHO, is T'challa IS NOT sexist and doesn't tolerate that ****.

Rape Camps is one thing... T'challa not taking down rape camps with extreme prejudice is a different thing. T'challa being hinted at doing anything at all with the Dora's is complete BS. "Serve him in all ways" is insulting. Coates own brain couldn't handle it so projected this crap onto T'challa and Wakanda. And this isn't me making **** up because I dont like him, he said as much:

Long long long ago, this is when a lot of us went, "uh oh."
So Coates just assumed that T'challa, being a powerful man, couldn't help himself and take advantage of the Doras, even though he wouldn't do that because that just isn't who he is. I knew that and I didn't know BP from Adam back then. It's not even a noble negro thing, it's a "not messing around with people I work with cause that's a really stupid idea" thing.

I mean, half the plot of Priest run was when Mephisto made him kiss Nakia and then she freaking snapped because of it.

No, it's rhetorical. Idk why T'challa would be characterized like that

It shouldn't be common in a comic book Society that's supposed to be more advanced than any on Earth witha king that is as concerned about the well being of his ppl as Tchalla is. If a writer can't separate fiction from reality in that situation then they shouldn't be writing fiction

If I was a Superman fan and read that quote by Coates-I would be panicking right now.

As MANY women that have gone after Superman including Maxima and he resisted because he loved Lois Lane-would Coates have an issue with that?

I’m a Superman fan and the fact he thinks that way is really bad but the chances are pretty high he’ll focus on one of the black Supermen, who I care a lot less about lol so I’m not too concerned for Clark Kent. Plus I got Lois and Clark for my Superman content so whatever happens with the DCEU is irrelevant. At least Coates seems to be done with comics for now.

That's true. As I said earlier, it's likely Wakanda has experienced some sexism. But I think these developments go too far

Reading the comments in Emans Petition is so uplifting even if the petition amounts to nothing

Ever since Tchalla swooped in during Civil War and became an instant icon to the masses he has really uplifted alot of ppl who felt unrepresented.

It went from 5000 sigs to 17,000 overnight

This really warms by heart to know this many people and counting want to see T’Challas story continue.
    T'Challa
    A.K.A. The Black Panther
    King of Wakanda
King of the Dead and The Champion of Bast
Two-Time Time Magazine "Person Of The Year"
Six-Time People Magazine "Sexiest Man Alive"

I was surprised how well done T'Challa's introduction was in CW, a fairly packed movie.

Yes and that was even with the first appearance of Spiderman. Truely solidified him as a main player in the MCU and in households. Didn't like how they handled his storyline with his father being killed by Zemo but felt like a little kid when he first came off that rooftop after Bucky and popped those claws.

After the reception he got I really don't understand how Marvel didn't grasp how big and popular making a solo movie about him and his corner of the MCU was going to be. He had been trending on twitter for months after

They could've had Klaw kill T'Chaka and T'Challa go after Bucky for other reasons, like maybe Hydra made him attack Wakanda.

I think at the time Hollywood still underestimated the potential success of a Black-focused superhero movie
