So I just saw a rumor that the next BP team will be John Ridley and Juann Cabal, anyone here think there’s any truth to that? Ridley’s Next Batman mini just got really good once he started diving into Jace’s origin, and his Other History was already fantastic so I’m rooting for this to be true. Hope he still does some DC work if so.

The fact that they posted this news on Henry Cavill's birthday is kind of petty

I believe it’s the same guy who correctly revealed the Moon Knight creative team so there’s a good chance it’s true. Ridley would be a great palette cleanser from the current era and I think Cabal is great too.

Cavil is far from a generation-defining talent but he’s a decent enough leading man to know he’s worth more than a few cameos. He’ll be in the MCU in no time lol.

I mean that's basically just saying be happy with scraps. "BP fans why are your complaining?? BP had two legendary runs with Priest and Hudlin be happy!!" "Uhh yea... we are in 2030, are we really supposed to be satisfied with runs from 3 decades ago?" I mean that's what it looked like reading the storm thread. Like holy isht, and she was supposedly the most prominent poc female hero/ at a time the most popular female superhero.

It's just a deal of wanting to be able to continue to enjoy BP for another 50 years without his story ending now

Optimism Rising... I haven't bought a Black Panther comic book since 2015 and I can't wait to start buying them again

Ridley’s work at DC has centered the male protagonists he writes. Jace Fox for example is 100% the main driver of the plot, and one focus is on the father-son relationship between Jace and his dad. Could definitely see him exploring something similar between T’Challa and T’Chaka. So I don’t worry that he’ll not be focusing on T’Challa as the main protagonist and plot shaker, so he won’t be sidelined for Storm or whatever lol.
