T'Challa: The Black Panther Appreciation 2021

Damn. Black Panther was the one MCU film I took my dad/mom/aunts to because they wanted to see it. (Normally only my generation and younger go to see MCU films) They’re in their 60s and 70s.

It’s going to be hard as hell to explain to them who Namor is, if they want to see the sequel.

IF the rumors are true... Marvel does not have enough time to get Atlantis right.

WB put a ton of effort into it and it still looked off at times. You can't rush underwater stuff like this.

It sounds stupid. If this is true, which I doubt it is, it's incredibly stupid, because the whole thing is between T'Challa and Namor, the "Claim" is that they were always going to focus on Wakanda in the sequel but then it would try and build up Atlantis? The only way it would work I'd for then to essentially copy the CW method and have Namor not be around Atlantis then tease it at the end. If they are banking on Wakanda picking up the slack of no lead and franchise holder around the last thing they should be trying to do is develop Atlantis

Achebe makes the most sense for a smaller scale story. However, BP2 was set up to be the biggest Marvel movie of 2022 long time ago. Just hope Coogler didnt feel the pressure to go "Russos"

He makes this really intimate film in Black Panther and then immediately following it is Infinity War. Hope he didnt feel the studio wanted to go so big for the sequel. Seems like something for a 3rd movie. And then you lose Boseman's ability to help ground the movie.

I dont doubt Coogler being able to pull it off. Its just a lot of work in not a lot of time.

Especially when you factor in (if Martin Freeman is to be believed) that when Chadwick passed, Marvel essentially said “hey it’s unfortunate that Chadwick is gone but we still gotta get this movie out on time”. But wasn’t it Coogler’s decision, not Feige, to not recast in honor of Chadwick and change the story. That’s what I keep hearing.

Yeah, looks like Danny is getting thrown under the yellow bus just like the Inhumans because people hated their tv shows.

The problem was two forld for Iron Fist. First Marvel should ahave debuted Shang Chi first so that Danny being white would not loom over the production's head. Two of my favorite character BP and IF will not be seen on the big screen for a while it looks like. Hell I even read a good comic run starring them in I do not know how long.

Don't forget "Soul Stone in Wakanda", "Team Cap in BP" or "Shuri BP in Endgame", and let's not forget all those "Inside scoops" claiming their sources confirmed Kraven will be the big bad for the sequel and then later "Kraven but with a Wakandan twist!"

I’m really excited to see their take on T’Challa. Say what you will about the lack of content but the writers for this game know how to capture the voices of all the characters involved and can tell a half decent story. A Square Enix T’Challa I feel is gonna give heavy Hudlin vibes.

And if that leaked moveset is anything to go by they’re taking all the best elements of T’Challa’s depictions like his kinetic suit and energy weapons from EMH. T’Challa won’t save this game from the brink of death but I think BP fans will be satisfied with what gets put out lol.
